We honestly can't afford to sign Messi if we're being honest. Even if we only offer him 200k a week (which we can't because we need to reduce our wage budget by 200m regardless), we would still need to offer him a signing-on fee. I doubt that Messi has even forgiven Laporta in any case. Not to mention, our current squad isn't good enough for the Champions League next season.
