No need for it. He should retire on a high note and not repeat the mistake of Spain's veterans from the 2014 WC. Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso, Torres, Villa, Casillas should have retired after the 2012 Euros.

In WC14 the spanish players were still in their prime, nobody would have thought after their EURO win in 2012 that they will fail in WC14

Considering that "mistake" didn't affect Spain's legends legacy, or any legend for that matter, why shouldn't he do it?
Retiring on high note is one of the most overrated thing, that only some fans care about, but don't even remember it layer.
