Even if 2.5 players are hard to carry defensively this hasn't being the undoing of PSG.
Their defensive blunders out of nowhere is what stopped them last season.
They tend to control the game or play deep block. Rarely they get countered. Still three players of that style is probably too much for CL, except if they trash everyone by outscoring.

City out worked them in both games last season and they were very fortunate to win that first game 2-0.

They finished second in group and then towards end of Real game once they got themselves back into it through GK error they couldnt match intensity of Real from there.

PSG fans were in no doubt they were out worked by Real and it led to players beeing booed etc the next game.

City is ofcourse a more complete and modern team, but they still managed to win 2-0 after all. They bet everything on that front three, but as the WC beautifully displayed, it hardly ever works. If they manage to avoid other big teams (Bayern might be the end anyway) the have a shot at the final. Anyone does.

As I said... City out worked them and PSG lucky to win that game 2-0.

If they think thy can repeat that 2-0 time and again in games like that then that is their decision but could see what one team lacked in comparison to the other.

Of course they have a chance of final but having players not tracking back has impactd them last season vs both City and Real at different times.

It's more than plausible they could get past Bayern by out gunning them, but the reality of them being able to repeat that tactic all the way to the final is slim.

Plus their defence is rank.

BTW it's a bad bad face scan, if even there was one. 5% likeness with Messi. I can do a better 3D job on Blender working with couple of photos of his.

It's OK, Pep had hard time to find the right words - Messi not winning the WC wouldn't have change his opinion on him being the best. Whatever that means in his mind. Best of all times? BOAT? or GOAT?:lol:

I really hope messi doesn't go into too much of a comfort zone now and lose some drive like you see happen to lots of athletes who manage their goal. I've always thought it could've been possible if he won in 2014 with possibly no champions league in 2015 because of it and maybe its a blessing in disguise that he only one the world cup now. I really doubt it because messi is one of those driven guys who loves what he does like all the multiple trophy winning athletes. I do wonder if he had won in 2014 would we have seen even more amazing things from him though. Still doubt it though because of his natural drive and ability and love for playing no matter what level of competition or game he's playing in
