PSG did try to get Tchouameni but he opted for Real Madrid but their recruitment has been poor. Likes of Vitinha, Soler, Ekitike etc are miles off it for that level.

Another problem they have is, not many top players entering their prime years are willing to go to Ligue 1. It's by far the best talent pool in the world but they leave at the first chance they get.

Likes of Messi, Ramos etc would never have gone if they were 10 years younger either.

Zidane is next, unless Real Madrid call again.

Messi and Ramos being amigos at PSG feels already weird and now Zizou...

That "washed-up, has-been superstar" won the World cup about 2 months ago.

Club Football is completely different.

Even his biggest fans are saying that he isn't up for club football anymore.

Why should PSG care about his exploits with the NT?

CL is played at a different pace and intensity and Messi hasn't been up to that intensity for years now.

He can raise it for Argentina in these isolated tournaments in the slower international Football.

When you have two superstars with shit workrate you have to pick one. In this case Mbappe just makes more sense.

Neymar at least works hard, but his head is gone.

Get rid of Neymar first and foremost. Move Messi on. Buy a fast hardworking attacker and a tall strong targetman(Mbappe wants that) and build the entire team around Mbappe.

Don't give anyone other than Mbappe a free pass for no defensive work.

Improve the other departments of the team.

No. It's just PSG as a whole isn't great. Galtier isn't that good of a manager either. Put Messi in a team like Man City.... and he'd suit their team more.

But to call Messi washed-up and a has-been is pretty stupid, considering he only just won the World Cup.

Recipe for success with this version of Messi is work hard in midfield to win the ball back as quickly as possible, give it to him again as quick as possible so he can take advantage of the transition in play. Or dominate the ball, but they're nowhere good enough in midfield to do that. They have a very odd mix of midfielders, half seem to prefer being deep in midfield, the other half high up.

Lil Tempt still foaming at the mouth calling Messi washed.

3-4 months ago, he was mocking Messi for never proving himself on the international stage. Now he's gotta prove more at the club level...where he already has 4 CL and 10 LL lmfao

What a :clown:
