There was no 50% cut. It was all about giving Messi the money he wanted but over 4/5 years and paying him huge money when could be playing in MLS.

Most likely. Messi wanted too much and Barca couldn't pay.

But otherwise the second biggest transfer of the summer wouldn't have happened.

Didn't both parties confirm that they reached that 50% cut through negotiations and that Leo wasn't asked anything below that?

It was but we are "big boiz" now, having our own (contrarian and incidently against Messi) opinion even if all the facts say the opposite. That's the JamDav way and should be respected for what it is, a.k.a. absolute trash as always.

Messi is still living in Gary Neville's head. His whole argument about Ronaldo being better than Messi is goalscoring, but Messi has a better goal ratio. He then stated that because Ronaldo scores headers, tap-ins and penalties, that makes him a more complete player. It was funny Carragher owning Neville yesterday. Then Sky Sports had the cheek to not include Messi's Olympic medal, Copa America and 2006 Champions League wins, yet they added a National League-friendly tournament win as a major for Ronaldo. They also didn't include the assist ratio, chances created, dribbling success in their whole argument.

This is why I would have loved to see Messi join the Premier League. They would have been kissing his ass. Not to mention, Messi would have had a field day against the likes of Norwich, Burnley and Newcastle, especially in that City team under Pep.

Very simple. Compare both of them and how impactful they will be to their teams this season. The answer will be very clear to you.

Gary Neville once said that Messi was the best player and may be the greatest of all time. But he’s an ex-United man wrapped up in the euphoria of Ronaldo’s return so has since done a complete 180.
