He would?ve performed better under this Barca team
Messi's off ball movement has to be criticized, he moves almost 0 when he doesn't have the ball at his feet. His runs would stick 2 opponents and thus make more space for other PSG players.
Average team, average manager. If pep was managing this team they'd be easily beating lens
What I don't like about PSG style is they bypass midfield so it creates no real fluidity. You cant just pass from defense to attack and expect to score goals. It also completely neutralizes Messi because you need midfield to get ball to a walking messi
PSG's midfield isn't good enough for Messi at 34 and then people laugh when I say that an MLS midfield won't work well for Messi at 36...
Tru. I overestimated his current level. He should have just taken a paycut and stayed to statpad vs the Eibars for a few more years. I dont see any team besides Barca he would perform that well in atm.
Meh game if he was a normal player, very underwhelming for Leo?s standards (at least up until July 2021). He chooses the easy option 9/10 times and the one time he doesnt, he usually misplace a pass or has a bad touch. Been very average for such a long time now that I feel this is it. This is the decline. Cant dribble anymore and barely gets to a goalscoring opportunity within 90 minutes. It doesnt help that the team is chaos of course, but still he shouldnt be this bad. Easy to say now but shouldve gone to Serie A. Ligue 1 is to physical and with lots of fast defenders, this doesnt suit Messi that has lost all his pace and acceleration.
EDIT: everyone declines, no shame in that. Just hurts to see him this lost for such a huge stretch of games.
Dude, if Pep was managing this team none of Messi Neymar and Mbape would play if they were not pressing
No, people are laughing because Messi performing or not performing in MLS at 36 is a moot point for him and his career/legacy.
today he was clearly better than in other matches for psg imo
i dont follow MLS, how strong are they?
