Its a weird comment. How could he prove more that his words were geniuine about 2020?

pretty sure in his mind he feels robbed but I guess it's better for him to act diplomatic and stay in good relations with FF because there is always the chance they give him the award in the future, that's why he accepted that fraud of striker award, anyone noticed that they didn't even put him on the magazine? 
this means the decision to give him that award was taken after the voting closed probably because they wanted him to attend the ceremony.

He can't give something he doesn't have. Remember it's 2020 Ballon d'Or and not 2021. I agree Lewa deserves it for 2020 but it's not Messi's fault that it was canceled. Why doesn't Bayern do something for Lewa? For example they could start petition to reopen voting for 2020 if they are so crazy about that.
