Got to love the way some Barca fans twist it.

For Ronaldo being eliminated after scoring home and away to likes of Ajax is him allowing Juve to eliminated.

When Messi goes out to likes of Roma and does nothing it is all someones elses fault.

Nice bait but I've always blamed Messi for Roma and the AM eliminations. He didn't perform to Messi standards especially in terms of effort. The receipts can be checked.

It's undeniable though, that CR7 has more CL eliminations v second rate team than Messi. That's what the point was.

And as Mr. CL, like his fans say, that shouldn't happen.

No bait involved.

Just pointing out the shite that gets posted.

Best player ever in CL. Doesnt mean never in teams that get beat either.

Trying too hard unless anyone claims that for any player.

Honestly he didn't have any choice in that

Juve didn't want him

Real didn't want him

Psg chose Messi as soon as he was free

He was only left with United.

It's PSG. They also willingly became the pension plan for a past it Sergio Ramos.

They would be in for Ronaldo too but they had to massage Messi's fragile ego so stayed out of it.

The power lay with Messi.

He would be on huge salary with Laporta. Look at what they wanted to offer him at 34.

Folk think it is as easy as just playing hard ball and refusing requests. Most likely did from much higher amount was asked for.

Tru but Messi overplayed his hand in the end as he has been a disaster at PSG.

it turns out that he needed Barca much more than Barca needed him last summer.

Messi went to better situation to fight for CL he is desperate for.

He was poor when came to crunch as were others for PSG but was right move for him.

So Messi is now responsible for CR7 not getting contract offers at teams?

A true alpha would have showed up at PSG's doorsteps and booted Messi out the door this past summer :coffee:

It's PSG. Only a washed up Messi gives a damn about their contract offers(that too due to the money and pss easy league). Weren't you Messi fanboys dissing the stature of the club when the fans booed him? Now suddenly interest from PSG has become validation for your fanbase? Oops contradiction...see this is what happens when you lack original content. :dembele:

Had Messi gone to EPL and Ronaldo to French league there would have been no end of attacks on Ronaldo chosing easy option and trying to get one last CL to get on over on Messi and title in another country.

The amount of shite that gets spoken to protect some pre conceived idea is sensational.

One of the best recently is trying to come to terms with Ronaldo getting a hat trick v Spurs I think it was.. apparently all about him trying harder due to Messi playing poorly v Real.

Folk genuinely believe that shite. Sensational.

Nobody on this forum cares about Messi v CR7 as a serious debate in 2022. Yet, this was your post trying to bait Messi fans while no one cared about CR7 (and being the schizophrenic that you are, claiming that others invoke CR7 on Messi topics first  )

100th PL goal for him.

Scored against another big team. Meanwhile....

We are talking about 2 different time periods though.

And even then, Laporta proved that not all the power laid with Messi in 2021 as Laporta didn't sign CVC deal and let him go.

Would Laporta offer Messi huge $ back in 2018? Of course, but I think not to the extent that Barto did that would put the club at risk.

Last board gave all players inflated deals. They had no business sense despite claiming to be business masterminds. Likes of Frenkie, Dest are on a high migher salary that you'd like too.

Too many veterans on too much money but prior to that same happend with Ibra that had to be sold, Villa who was on increasing contract as got older etc.

Messi would be getting similar deal from other board would bet in 2018.

The CVC deal cant be compared as was not there before and to sign it for a 34 year old Messi would have been wrong move as advised by others on board when Laporta wanted to.

I think Messi in 2018 gets huge and similar money. There is not some easy negotiating trick that would have made Messi accept less when he is one with power.

Who knows. Could get more even.

It was a dig at people claiming he isn't upto it in big games.

But then you being the negative IQ stalker you are.....
