I don't see Messi coming back while Lewandowski still here.

It just seem awkward.

Aside from the Ballon D'or discussion there isn't any evidence that the two don't get along. And Messi was at his best with a worldclass striker in front of him.

We dont need two unbenchable 35+ year olds playing for us.

We did poorly with two 33 year olds.

Should the club disrespect/ piss off potential future great Ansu Fati by taking away his number?

he's a nobody mate. a nobody paid on hype and potential.

club bend over for him as we lacked other stars. if he continues impersonating Bran Stark club will strip him of the 10 in no time for Messi.

Lewandowski will try to move as soon as that happens.

Tbf, Messi can fit into this system as a Striker/False 9.

Now, I think those days are over and even he prefers to have a striker in front of him. Plus, he doesn't fit in current Xavi's system.

Current Messi needs to be played as a 10 in either a 4-2-3-1 or in a 3-4-3/3-4-1-2.

I can only accept him coming back only for 1 year to have a proper farewell,
under the condition that he accepts to be on the bench and an impact sub

and BTW when he subs on the only position he can play is right interior

we did poorly because of the overall squad and managers. once the two 33 year olds left, we went to Europa League.

don't see Lewandowski not working for the team, so that would mean only Messi is the one not running. and it depends on the role we create for him.

but overall this is a decision the club has to make.

Well then you can bid goodbye to Barca being a "modern, high pressing" team.

Lewandowski is already lazy af at pressing.

I hope the club decides against that

he might win another ballon d'or once this season is finished. club will be hyped to get him.

i think deep down everyone want to see this hollywood story of the prodigal son returning to happen(just like everyone would like to see the argentina vs portgual final at the WC). the problem stands with the manager and how he would be able to integrate messi, which would probably be a big headache.

Nah, that won't be an issue. Xavi would jump at the chance of getting Leo back. No doubt. All Barca fans obviously want Messi back.

If he wins WC, he should retire into the sunset this next summer. Will be a complete, untouchable career from individual accomplishments + trophies.

if he wins the WC he would be untouchable. can come here and play drunk every minute. don't think there would be any discussion about his legacy and all that shite.

Getting Messi back would ruin everything good we have done so far.

No player would benefit from him coming back, they all would again have to sacrifice their game to run and cover for someone who will walk for 90 minutes while playing every possible game. He is not worth it anymore to center all the play around him, he doesn't offer enough moments of magic to be worth it.

And in this modern age, even one player walking, means failure in the CL against top opposition.

He can return for one game to say godbye to the fans and thats it, everything more than that would be a huge mistake.

Will be exciting to see if Messi x Lewy works well on the pitch though.

Lewy is a very different kinda striker to Suarez so I'm not sure how him and Messi's combo will look like.

Just because we don't need him to return to Barca does not mean he needs to retire if he is still not ready to retire. I would watch every game of his even if he plays in MLS. Would be fun to watch him tear it up there.
