Memories of Ashley Young and Downing in their midtable glory days to their eventual downfall come up when I see £25m for Lallana to be honest.

If you can't spell Lallana you probably haven't seen him play enough to make a real judgment of him.

You cant say their isnt a correlation tho, i actually thought Young and Downing would fair well in all honesty. How naive I was back then

Lallana has technique and skill something which the players you mentioned AfricanBavarian do not have. Especially technique.
Lallana would fit in like and hand to a glove in our system. £25m is maybe about £5m-7m above his right price but he is english so you need to add the english tax to that so it is about right.
The way I look it at though is that we'll be getting Lallana and Lambert for £29m which seems a great deal to me for two players that would improve the first team in the case of Lallana and the squad in the case of Lambert.
Basically they are huge upgrades on Moses and Aspas who they are virtually going to replace in the squad.
