Bony and betrand are the latest players the scousers are after. Really have to question Brendans transfer policy if he brings them in. He is an excellent manager but in the market he seems to struggle.

i'm sure the bony (his not even bad) rumour is as BS as the griezman and benzema rumours that have appeared today.
i'm with u on bertrand though. failed to show at chelsea and failed out on loan too.

tbf sturridge and coutinho were both at big clubs and everybody knew they were talented and he has just helped them flourish so people can't use that as a point. It's the likes of Allen, Aspas, Alberto and Sahko who have all struggled. Sky sports have confirmed Bony is a Rodgers target and you will not find a more reliable source than that. Some of his buys could turn out to be masterstrokes just atm the people he is looking to bring in look a bit dodgy.

1.sakho?
2. i don't see us buying bony. 'interest' means nothing to the media. had an article everyday about "moreno is close to liverpool" and that dryed out.
3. nothing dodgy about lallana or markovic.

1. Sakho has struggled lets be honest.
2. The interest is genuine so you obviously have the intention to buy him. Sky sports don't report something unless its factual.
3. Markovic hasn't signed yet and he is a risk ( I however expect him to turn out to be a wonderful player) and lallana isn't improving your first 11 and isnt going to change a game of the bench and was ridiculously over priced.

Sturridge & Coutinho can't be used to make the point?! Sturridge is a great example. who cares if he was at a big club already, he was misused at Chelsea (surprise!) and all their stupid fans were glad to see him leave, everyone doubted him and Liverpool's decision to sign him but he's proved them all wrong. Coutinho was sold for 8m(!) and very few people predicted he'd do as well as he's done so far.

Allen is a good, solid squad player and most Liverpool fans are happy with how he's done so far.

Sakho is a beast. i'd take him over Vermaelen, Evans, Jones & Smalling!

Yeah apologies that was a silly statement regarding sturridge and coutinho. My point still stands that he tends to get it wrong more times then he gets it right.

Sakho has proved absolutely nothing and was let go by psg so they didnt see him fit to play for them and he's french aswell haha. What has he done exactly to deserve his credit he gets? Fuck all. What have Jones, Smalling and Evans done? Jones, Smalling and Evans have played key roles in several League Titles campaigns. Enough Said.

Did somebody really make a motivational picture with quotes from "Chelsea fan"? You could make one about Messi from Barça Forum users too.

At these people not realising how damned good Allen is and will be for us :chuckle:

Did you not his performances in the last two months of the season he was awesome!

I also realise others will say what they say about Sakho and I suppose with some justification however unless you have seen every game and analyse each and every game like we do then you won't know just how freaking awesome he was for us at times and will only get better. The first year of settling in a new country and learning the language etc will always be difficult. But his passing game is magnificent. It just is. He sees things ahead of the field that some midfielders don't see and what looks like a bad pass is because the run for it wasn't made. Once he learns the language and gets a better partner he'll be fine and of course be a beast ;)

But yes the Bertrand rumours sadden me. He is just awful. Awful awful awful!

Not sure about the Bony rumours.

But we are definitely going to buy another striker.

Looking at it though you can say the replacements in the squad have made it stronger. Suarez aside.

Lallana has replaced Moses - so that area has definitely been strengthened!

Lambert has replaced Aspas - Again another improvement.

Can will be replacing Lucas - Can is more energetic and flexible and I love Lucas but since the injury his energy has gone. So an improvement.

Lovren will be replacing Agger - Last season Lovren was better but in terms of ability its too close to call perhaps Lovren edges it defensively speaking but I'll need convincing.

We can't replace Suarez he is irreplaceable. What looks like we are doing is changing to a 4-3-3 where the front three are flexible. So Markovic can play in those areas and whoever the other striker we buy.

So we are losing our best player but the squad strength has slowly increased in terms of those areas I mentioned.

I really think you're going to struggle next season. I just don't see where those lost goals are going to come from.

We scored 100 goals last season. Less Suarez's 30 that is 70. Add in Lallana and Markovic with 7 each that is just under half that 30 total. Add in another striker together with Lambert we should match those goals.

The assists of Suarez will be harder to replace.

Although I don't think we will match last season's goal total but at the same time I think we'll concede less because of the system and tactics Rodgers will employ together with the new recruits in defence and a more settled back four.
