Rodriguez is a good little player and wouldn't be too costly, would be a great buy! Such a shame he has his injury and was ruled out the WC. Any more news on the bony transfer? I knew his agent met liverpool representatives yesterday or the day before but any more developments?

I think Liverpool fans are being naive if they think the owners will spend both the cash they had allocated for this window, and the Suarez money on top of that. If anything they'll probably see it as a free window.

Name 2 World class players that would chose Liverpool over other suitors....Sanchez rejected them recently and I can't think of any other world class players who are available...Buying 3-5 good players isn't the wrong move, it's their only option other than sitting on the cash and I don't think they can afford to sit on the cash and risk missing out on top 4 considering how lucrative champions league will be from 2015/16 for English clubs...

Benzema and higiuan are not world class. (I'll get slaughtered for this but) I'd pick sturridge the pair any day.

Also sanchez isn't worldclass as s7 said either. All of these are just big names and top players. Not world class. I dont want to to go in that direction.

Spurs is a bad example tbh I think they made a good deal by replacing Bale with those players it just didn't work out for some reason. Many of Spurs purchases were highly rated like Soldado, Loris and that Argentinian that even on this forum many people wanted to buy for Barcelona

I do agree with Gobbie regarding spurs. Lamela, Eriksen, Chiriches, Soldado and Lloris are very good players and with a decent manager like pochetino i expect them to really improve. It was difficult for them last year due to AVB being awful and Sherwood not having a clue so the players were never going to peform to their true ability.
