They are missing Luis Diaz a lot, and Konate.

Alisson

Trent ---Konate- Van Dijk --- Robertson

---Caicedo---Bellingham------
------------Thiago-----------

Salah---Nunez----Diaz

That is still a top team, for sure. They need 2 top class midfielders in summer (?200M worth) and another top class CB for cover.

Real Madrid gonna rock Liverpool (again).

Best Midfield in the world vs Non existant midfield. Surely Temptation you can't think you're gonna do well after being decimated by Brighton twice and Wolves recently.?

Bump.. by the way..

Just a shame that penalty on Nunez ( huge push in the box ) was not even looked at VAR .. 3: 5 would have been easier to come back from ..

Bit concerned for Temptation, hope he's OK

I remember Mateka disappearing after Lyon or Chelsea final
Can we safely assume the next EPL bozo will be an Arsenal simp?

I thought Madrid would easily come back into the game. They didn't seem fazed at all.

Cm'on
That's Monday-morning quarterback stuff through and through

it's not that at 2-0, Madrid looked any threatening. Liverpool were battering them at the time. Everyone thought they are in for a thrasing...
Unfortunately, things changed

I had a lad sitting next to me in pub reacting absolutely identical. It's hysterical watching Jamie do this as a 50 year old man. Entire generations of losers since Ian Rush  Poor Macca, born in wrong place at wrong time

Liverpool were good for the first 10 minutes and pressed Madrid well but Madrid looked threatening too with Vinicius in particular. After Courtois's fuck up they basically only created one other clear chance.

Salah was having a field day against Alaba(who looks shit at LB in my opinion these days) prior but Nacho put a stop to it and was excellent when he came on.

The final xGoals scoreline was 2,09 - 1,66 in favor of Liverpool btw, in case anyone didn't know.

It makes sense. The first Benzema goal was a deflection from not a big chance, and Vinicius first goal was an amazing finish from a really low XG attempt.
The other Madrid goals were big chances (high xG). 3 high XG attempts are more or less that 1.66 you see there.
2-3 would have been more accurate based on chances, but we know the voodoo fuckers always get more than they deserve

Birdman absolutely spewing Real is clutch enough to consistently outperform his favourite metric

Fantastic

Clutch too big a word for what you are doing...
I was replying to Morten's insinuations that the metric might be flawed. No, it's fine. 1.66 is 3 big chances, as many as you got

But to you, the only thing I would say is: 3 more Classicos incoming, so better not be a loudmouth right now. You might regret it in a few weeks
