Very solid in defense and very calm. He has good attacking deliveries and combinations too. A player bigger than the role that he'll get once Alba returns. Hopefully Lucho recognizes his value and is open to the idea of him starting over Alba if he's performing better.

Looks like a good signing. Knowing how injury prone Alba is, and how he runs so much in general, it's comforting to know we have a solid backup. Competition might do Alba good too.
But Mathieu should really never be starting, let along playing, at LB these days. Really odd to have Lucho play him there. And again, with Umtiti and Digne now, an injury to Mathieu isn't concerning.

Mathieu getting injured was probably the best thing that could have happened for us. They ramped up their attack as the game went on the way you'd expect, there's no way Mathieu would have been able to hold them.
Mathieu only played because Digne had a few trainin days. Physical shape is crucial. Busi was very bad because of that, for instance.
Mathieu is never gonna play again as LB.

that's what i call a fucking flawless performance .. ever since he entered he never made a " faux pas " .. every step was correct . the boy has everything to start even for a club like Fc Barcelona .. we have 2 world class left backs amigos
