When did that happen again?
Last week. It's all over the news.
Neymar: "I do not like to talk about personal things, but I have to say yes, we are separated, it was a decision that we have taken both sides,"
When did that happen again?
If it was up to me, I would sell Neymar to PSG for Verratti+ 80m, then buy Dembele, Semedo, and Davinson.
Plus MSN have a good relationship on and off the court. Can't risk it.
If they have to sell Neymar, then you know they are in big problems. I hope they don't follow your advise. This season a great CM and RB is enough. Next year there is money again.
A team with Verratti, Dembele, Semedo, and Davinson can win anything with or without Neymar. That's a complete team, why would we have a big problem?!
Exactly, this guy is probably a 15m. player at least who is available on a free.
What young talent you going to pick up for free?
Guessing IF this type of transfer is to happen as much as anything it is to try and free up funds to improve other areas without weakening midfield back up.
Salary of around 4m a year is not huge and usually the players signing on fees dont get added to that.
If he comes and is shit it will be a waste of a wage but for a squad player at top club 4m a year is not that big.
Yes, he very obviously is a 15 M-player who is available for free. That should be good news for Stoke. Not FC Barcelona, come on.
Alright, this is a good point: We need to save money in general and make good deals. But Dahoud, a promising 21 years old german midfielder went to Dortmund for 12 M€, because he had 1 year left of his contract. If we can't pay 12 M € for a midfield-backup we are truly fucked. I would applaud us signing him - he is a realistic, very cheap, worth a try young player and possible starter with all the right profile for Barca. I don't want to be pessimistic, but these signings leave me with no choice.
See - this is ridiculous.
First you argue: "Remember he is on free transfer, therefore it doesn't matter that he isn't young/promising/universally praised and only on a 'decent level'"
Then you argue: "4M salary is not expensive when he came on a free transfer - you should have that in mind"
Conclusion: Expensive wages is totally fine for a (not young) squad-player with only 'decent level'. You can't argue both that his cheap price excuses his crappy level, and then that his free transfer excuses his expensive wages.

You pretty much made up all of that last paragraph from thin air. Quoting things that were never said.
About worst strawman arguments have seen on here.
I tried to include the quotes to prove it: First you say that he is cheap (correct), and that he would be signed to avoid 'weakening midfield backup' (that may be, but midfield-backup has been below barca-level this year, and if he is replacing that level, then I assumed you meant that his level was 'decent'). Then you argue that his wages isn't that big, even though they are. Santos offered him 1.3 M/year, btw, why not offer the same? We are a bigger club, he would prefer to play here.
You made the quotes up from thin air so they prove nothing. Try quoting things that were actually said.

I'll try again then. I read these two qutoes:
As this:
First quote similar to this: "Remember he is on free transfer, therefore it doesn't matter that he isn't young/promising/universally praised and only on a 'decent level'"
Second quote similar to this: "4M salary is not expensive when he came on a free transfer - you should have that in mind"
If that is a giant misreading then ok. I really just got the impression that you thought he had a decent level, and the free transfer justified a try, and that you thought 4M wasn't expensive. I think both that he plays at an underwhelming level (which can be ok if you are young and can improve) and that 4M in wages is expensive when he was offered a rise to 1.3M in his original club. If you are truly neutral/indifferent towards him and this transfer, then fine with me, I interpreted your quotes as if you were generally okay with the reasoning behind signing him.
