Tbh, only one CL with MSN is somewhat underwhelming. And he and robert spent over 100m in the summer too. The treble was fantastic, sure. But I'd rather have 2 CL's in those 3 years.

Patience. Guardiola coached a strong Bayern for three years and won 0. A lot of luck is involved as well.

I don't care about Bayern... last season we were beat by atletico because of lucho parking the bus to defend a slim lead. This season, for bad planning, awful football. Wasting Messi's prime, and Barça's chances of getting more CL's. It will be harder once Messi is gone, that's obvious.

CL is not THAT important. 1 in 3 is still very good. And potentially 3/3 La Ligas and Copas is an incredible achievement. La Liga is the strongest club competition in the world atm.

Wasting Messi's prime? He was poor vs Atletico last year, and was poor vs PSG this year as well. So whatever problems we had in those games in CL in recent years, Messi was a part of them. The team as a whole underperformed in CL in the last 2 seasons, including Messi. It happens. Not such a big deal. Infernal draws didn't help, considering the easier games the others top teams have had.

Was just about to say same thing.

It is the biggest title and the reasons about league being the top one only really come out when Real win it or Barca are out.

Would bet anything the top players like Messi think CL is the one thy really want to build up on their CVs.

I said 'THAT' important. That means it's important but let's not make a really big case about not winning it. Teams usually don't win CL very often.

The problem is that CL is THAT important. Having MSN and money to spend, winning only one is underwhelming. They weren't signed to win la liga or the cdr. Even more with the rivals winning it 2x in the same time.

Barça has won la liga many times without making an impact in Europe. And without Messi, it's likely to come back to that.

I disagree. I remember Pep saying La Liga is the most important competition each season. I agree with him. Said this also in previous seasons, including the one in which we won the Champions League, so it's really not a case of sour grapes because we're mostly out.

And plenty of teams have won CLs without winning the league in that year.

Managers always say that, he probably says it now when it is clear to everyone at Man City he has been brought to win the CL. He probably said it at Bayern but feels a bit of a failure there as could not bring the CL.

It is the big one to win but managers cant let players give up on league for it.

I'd prefer to win the CL without the league, every time. Pep used to say CL is the most special. He just says those things, as many other stuff. And his tenure at Bayern is seen as a failure because he won no CL's, despite winning the league 3x.

rm's season last year was seen as better than ours, because CL > domestic double. It is what it is, CL is the most important trophy.

And Neymar and Suarez weren't signed and paid millions to win the league or the cdr.

As long as we have Messi and especially this front line, the aim should always be to win a CL title every season. Very important. Obviously the league is very important too, and something that takes a lot of effort to win, but this frontline is something we will never have again. It is of utmost importance to build a team that can win the CL every season, at the very least get far in the tournament.

Nah. Pep really believes that. And he has solid, strong arguments, for him to think like that.
