Suarez was 27 and cost a ton after having had several seasons in Europe. I like the transfer but the price for his age was a bit much imo. Still he won't be given any "adjusting" time compared to Neymar. If we win nothing this season, Busi's head needs to be delivered to the fans at Camp Nou on a platter.

Busi? You mean Bartro/Zubi/Lucho??

When he played his first game for us he was 3 months short of being 28. 88m. for a 28 years old player who never played in Spain before is way too much. This signing just crippled the team in a lot of areas. Every other transfer we made except Suarez was not starting 11 quality, not including the keeper. That's the real problem. That and the ban will afect us long term.

We sold 2 key players from last season and bought only 1. That is a downgrade in men personnel, how the hell is that a step up?

Our board and manager aren't ruthless enough. Although I'm against just buying success outright we needed a proper squad overhaul rather than relying on the players which brought us success in past years. The only players that should be in the first 11 are Messi, Neymar, Suarez (currently being destroyed by lucho tactics), Mascherano, Iniesta and Alba.

No progress has been made since the start of the season, that's 100% on Lucho and his stupid rotations/lineups/tactics.

Just sack him already and make Xavi player/coach.

Xavi is one of us, Lucho is not.

So I guess you think Bartra is shit and neither of Bravo or MAtS are good enough to be our GKs

Xavi probably wouldn't kick out Iniesta, Busi, Alves, Pedro and other players.

So, we would be in the same problems.
Bad board, poor players, and we would only have a better/smarter coach, but too much would change.

We need a better board, better coach, but new/fresh/better players also.
Pep, Cruyff and Mourinho together probably wouldn't be able to win La liga with the current set of players.

Oh course they wouldn't too many different and conflicting ideas. I'd still take Cruyff or Mou over Lucho every day of the week. The players, maybe not prime Barca quality, they still have the talent to at least play decent football if not amazingly extravagant attacking football. Its the job of the balls for brain manager of ours to make the system fit the players at hand and develop a basic set of tactics and chemistry amongst the team. But what does he do? Never play the same XI, surprise players with lineups and positions they never played before, take our biggest assets (midfield) in favor of width opponents don't care about when its Dani *row Z cross* Alves providing it, and to top it all of benching in form players immediately after they play a good match. #LuchoOut.

Does he think this is a Fifa game? We should be hitting our stride now with a set 11 players and a clear game plan. He's in pre season mode :(

The way RM are on a roll, I can agree with that. Still, we would be doing better and could stand a better chance with the cups.

I am starting to wonder where we'll be as a team in 2016 if this board actually stays for the entire duration. Two more years of this...

The thing is, if Lucho fails then who will come in? I highly doubt any world class coach wants to be hired by a board who is in the last year of their run, as the new board will surely want to bring their own coach when they come in. In short, we're out of good options, and Lucho is showing every week that he is a bad coach, not even close to being good enough for Barca. He actually said he was pleased with our performance against Getafe and excuse the loss with them being a good side, as if this wasn't a humiliating defeat of epic proportions. So that's where the bar is being set with him, guys...

The problem is that the socios let the current board sit way, way too long. One thing after another that would make other clubs take action has happened, but in Barca these guys still sit in power. Transferban, signing Douglas, forcing out Montoya (or letting an insane coach do so without taking action), signing Vermaelen for substantial sum and the guy might not even play in his first season, signing Mathieu who is not good enough and who could have come for half the price the year before, etc etc. It's just one thing after another, yet Bartomeu keeps smiling in all interviews as if everything is in perfect order, and the socios allow it to continue.

If we become the next Inter Milan, it's these guys' fault. The Gaspart era was saved by an absolute golden generation of La Masia players spearheaded by the best ever in Messi, a new board that for the most part did the right things and who hired good coaches, again spearheaded by one of the best ever in Pep. These lucky coincidences will not happen again, and when the current players retire there is absolutely no guarantee that we'll manage to climb up to a level even resembling a world class club again. The way Barca is being run is just way to unstable. Too much ego and stubborness plague this club.

Agreed.. but right now I just want to see good football never mind trophies.. for the first time in years we are playing boring football as a team. Can't just wait for Messi magic every game..

Most players are fine.

Iniesta is still a world-class midfielder
Xavi is the perfect 60-minute-sub when we are leading the game
Busi is till a great asset for the team. 26 years old with loads of experience
Pedro is a fine sub. Not many players on his level will accept to sit on the bench - not even in Barca.

The thing is, we will need a new world-class CM, preferably Koke, and a world-class RB, potentially Cuadrado. Those two would change things a lot, i believe - IF we get a new coach.

Who in his right mind would want to sell Messi? He's an icon of this club, one of a few positives that are left in this disaster.

I could swear that just 2 days ago you were disagreeing with people who thought that Lucho was a clueless muppet. I wonder what changed ? Was it the 22nd different lineup that made you change your view or was it his umpteenth stupid press conference ?
