How come? You guys talk like there is some logical breach or fallacy in that statement. There's not. Saying that when we win it's because of invidivual performances and when we lose it's because of the coach is a pretty accurate description of how we're doing in this season so far.
Then you should say we didn't win yesterday because of individuals as well. Because we had some great chances to score but the players did not manage to put the ball in the back of the net.

We are tactically inept but the chances are there and they are wasted/

True, Enrique didn't get bailed out yesterday. Had Messi scored that FK the match would have been completely different and who knows, we could have won the game. But guess what, that wouldn't be to Luchos credit, but yet again to Messis credit. Because our general teamplay and the synergy between players was awful, there doesn't seem to be any plan or understanding amongst the players coming from a rehearsed system in training. It looked disconnected and chaotic as it has done all season.

I read here that someone tried to make the argument that this is unfair to Enrique because we also relied on individual brilliance under Pep. Well of course we did! This isn't an either or thing, it's not like having one renders the other useless and moot. Under Pep there were some great invidual performances that were responsible for pulling us through competitions, like Iniestas last second goal against Chelsea for instance. But we also played some absolutely fantastic football that were responsible for most of the other goals we scored, goals that came as a result from awesome teamwork and beautiful synergy between players. The way we played and how we dominated other teams was the main reason we won as much as we did with Pep. Truly great teams have a good coach with great tactics as a foundation for individual performances to shine on top of, or also on a fundamental level be an integral part of. Right now we only have the latter.

What I dont get is this, when rotations dont work and your team clearly suffers while others book results trough consistent line ups, then why keep at it our of pure stubborness?

"Everything is being questioned at the moment, I understand that, but I will remain faithful to my ideas. I will not change due to one loss, or many losses. We make judgments at the end of the season, on whether the objectives have been achieved. That is my way, and has always been at other clubs I have coached."- Luis Enrique

He doesn't understand football and he doesn't understand coaching. He's just a Pep wannabee. He says we are doing things his way regardless of whether we reach our objectives or not, regardless of how fans feel and regardless of how the players feel.

I just want him to leave ASAP. FFS we can still salvage something this season, but not with Lucho in charge, just get him out.

Its illogical though, if you are trying to lose weight and your diet doesnt work, your not going to wait until the summer to change it, you fix it right away until you achieve results.
If things dont work, change it, if they do stick with it, simple as that.

They play 4-4-2

They play 4-3-3 sometimes so do PSG, Chelsea and Bayern occasionally (although their formations are more like 3-4-3 base with a myriad of other formations played throughout the match). You can't just say a formation is dead, 4-4-2 was dead in 2010 now its the default formation of teams that play against barca.
