The imediate problem is the coach. He is the one picking the players. Also, the board for signing badly in a crucial moment, knowing a ban was incoming. Xavi wouldn't say now to the press he thinks we played badly, that would be the same as throwing Lucho under a bus. And as a captain, he can't do that. It's already a mess, this would only make things worse.

Lucho was the one who convinced Xavi to stay, btw. He was already looking for a place to live on usa. Lucho is the biggest problem. And the idiots in the board too.

I agree and was one of those who was neverly overly impressed by Luchos record at b team, Roma or Celta and argued all that before he was taken over.

Signings I agree on to a point - mainly the midfield I was vocal about thinking it was a huge mistake to sell Cesc, not sign Kroos, sign Rakitic and promote Rafinha. All of that I said last summer.

The thing is with Xavi I genuinely believe he thinks the team played well and they approached game properly. I also think it is the way Iniesta wants to play and its killing the team as those two almost have to play as other midfielders are average at best.

For me it seems that Lucho sees the problems with the old guard but he lacks the tools to change it. His signings were not good enough in midfield in particular which has left him going back to the old players. On top of that Lucho lacks the charisma and leadership to motivate the players to believe in a different style.

He's a dead man walking.

RAC and Sport are already 100% Anti-Lucho. His only "friends" left in the press are MD, blaming refereeing and bad luck. But they too won't defend him for much longer.

I won't argue that it's our style of play or even players that are the problem. It's not like a passing heavy, possession based game can't win in the modern era, Bayern and Germany's recent success proved that.

It's just that our overall game lacks precision. We don't have cohesiveness offensively. Too many times when we try and initiate a passing move, we lack that third man to complete the triangle or it breaks down due to a loose pass. We had chances to win against Sociedad that our forwards wasted due to a lack of ruthlessness. Lucho's biggest problem seems to be his lack of attention to detail and in tougher games going forward this season, that is the difference between winning and losing.

Tactical cohesion and precision is what makes a possession based game work and we haven't had that since Pep was here so until we see a coach who can at least bring the best out of our current set of players, I think saying a change of style is hasty.

We just need a coach who can emulate elements of Pep's attention to detail but can also address the weak points in this team right now. Lucho right now seems incapable of either atm.

2011/12 Barca > 2012/13 Barca > 2013/14 Barca > 2014/15 Barca

Don't think more needs to be said than that about the state of the club and it's leadership.

Like it or not these group of players will follow Messi not Lucho.
If the rumors are true I need to buy more popcorn.

Victory over Atletico would be like hitting jackpot...you can only hope that it will happen.
It's not just his crazy decisions...MY GOD, he had a chance to surpass RM...but the fact that we look so clueless on the pitch, total chaos. And players motivation is all time low, it's visible from an airplane.

Who the fuck (I guess it is Lucho. That is why I am posting here) allowed Leo and Neymar to have additional holidays and decided that because of that they could not start yesterday?
Just call them back on the same day as everyone else and FUCKING PLAY THEM IN ONE OF THE TOUGHEST MATCHES IN THE WHOLE SEASON.

I could not see the game (despite the first 5 minutes...) so I am very sorry if that was not a problem (which I cannot imagine) but that is not excusable for me. That decision goes hand in hand with his rotation bullshit (for the sake of it, not to rest players or adjust to special opponents) and we can be sure by now that there will be at least 4 changes against Atletico.
Leo, Ney, Dani and Pique will play 100% and you can never be sure, if Lucho has another brain fart, meaning playing Mathieu instead of Alba.

I do not like hectic decisions which are not thought out well but this going nowhere to be honest. His situation is not that difficult as Tata's e.g. Get him outta here before the City game.
We can win that one with Lucho too but I do not want our squad, that has his flaws for sure to play clearly below the potential.
