If you want to be angry at Lucho, be angry at him with how the whole team performed and not just because of one stupid substitution.

Stop acting like subbing off Neymar was a more game deciding moment than the ones Pique/Bravo/Suarez had.

You can't bench Messi.
So, it is only Ney or Suarez.

Maybe he can't bench neither Suarez, who knows what is happening in the locker-room?

I can agree only that benching Ney was wrong, but then again, only Suarez could have been subbed.
He obviously wanted 442 to get more possession and to Tiki-taka the match till death.

Again, if it would have stayed 2:1, it would be perfectly reasonable and La liga winning-decision.

We needed these 3 points.
20 minutes till the end, we could have:
1. played 433 with Xavi for Iniesta
2. or tried 442

Lucho tried 442 and was unlucky.

But again, his decision wasn't that illogical (except for benching Ney).
But he probably thought that Suarez can offer more in the last 15 minutes and finish off some Tiki-Taka action in our 442.

It was illogical. 1st, suarez is on 4 yc, so if he got booked, he'd lose the next game. And he was having a bad game, while Neymar was having a very good one. He was the best from the front 3.
The Neymar-Messi partnership also works better. So the logical sub, if he wanted to take off a forward, was Suarez, not Neymar.

But the worst thing was seeing the team defend a slim lead, and not go for the kill.

That Rafi/Iniesta mistake really shaked the trust I had come to have in his choices, at this point, i'm still wondering if - except set pieces - we're winning because of our great trio or tactical superiority :/

I'm quoting myself here.. again, stupid stupid choice of subs, and defend a 1goal lead like we are Huesca.

Good job Lucho.

It was perhaps not a game deciding moment, but when you have a narrow lead, you must try to go for the kill too and that's why you don't sub off the best player of the night who has scored a goal, assisted one and has created 5 chances on top of that

6 Ballons for Messi

but what if he wins 7??
Lucho had 2 redeeming qualities/decisions so far.
1) the rotation that proved to be a good choice as it keeps the team fresh.
2) keeping messi on the wing so suarez can play better.

Now that suarez revealed that it was messi who decided that suarez should play in the middle, lucho's case doesn't seem that good.
Silverware or he's out.

That's the worst thing. Sevilla will always have opportunities to score. It's unbelievable how few chances we had in the 2nd half, with Sevilla going all out until they equilised. Atletico did the same and we punished them on the counter. Tonight, we didn't do that. We thought we could preserve the 2-1 and that was self-distructive.

You can't Fire your coach every year, especially with our current circumstances.

I think he should stay, after a crap start he has had a good 2015 so far.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Other than subbing out Neymar it's hard to fault Lucho for anything tbh. This time individual mistakes cost us, not bad tactical decisions.

Wasn't Ney's sub a tactical decision? Switching formation is not a tactical decision? Playing off form Iniesta isn't a tactical decision?

I agree, the players failed today, but acting like Lucho is not responsible is just naive...

We've been playing with fire for a long time now, and today we finally got burned... Lucho's tactical decisions have been (mostly) dismal since the beginning, this is not about this single game...

I am going to say it.He really isn't a smart guy at all.The only reason we are performing like this is because of a lot of world class players in our team.He is average at best.

You never try to defend a 2-1 on a tough away ground without a rock solid defence. Never. Even a 5 year old could tell you that. If Sevilla plays like this against Real, they will lose. They didn't play a great game, but looked like dominating for a large part of the 2nd half. That is unacceptable. Thank god for that lucky win away to Celta.

And then we get caught on the break and they equalise and people are critical of him for looking for going for another goal instead of just closing the game out. What cost Barca tonight were individual mistakes by Bravo, Pique and Suarez.

We scored Messi's goal and a free kick goal.

If someone is to blame for not killing off the match at 2:0 or at 2:1 in the 2nd half, that are players.
Not Lucho for his sub 15 minutes before the end while we were leading 2:1.

At the end of the day, we scored only one goal after all that domination.
We were finishing poorly against Real and Man. city and we were lucky against Celta with Mathieu's goal.

We can't win that many matches with 1 goal from an open play, the same as today.
We had to pay the price eventually.

Again, players are also to blame.
They are playing good, but aren't killing off the match constantly in the last few weeks.

We'd only conceded 18 goals all season when that sub was made so that is a pretty rock solid record. And we hardly tried to defend we just put on an extra body in midfield for a bit more control which we had until Pique gave the ball away.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
Luis Enrique: "We were clearly better in first half, played well. Second half was more balanced, both had chances. We paid for our mistakes"

Luis Enrique: "Reaction Neymar after sub? Not interested in all that, only the press is interested in those things." #fcblive

Luis Enrique: "Xavi-Neymar sub? We wanted more control, more possession, but the game continued to be crazy..." #fcblive

And yet, the only time we tried to absorb pressure, we took 3 goals from Madrid. We had that record precisely because we don't allow teams to dominate us. Tonight we did, and not because we didn't have a choice, because Lucho, in his mind, thought at HT that we can end this game 2-1.
