Am I the only one who think that our pressing resistance under Lucho has been pretty poor? It seems that some teams are more successful pressing us high up the pitch (Celta, Athletic, Las Palmas or Malaga in the second match comes to mind), than using "park the bus" method. I don't think that was as much of a problem during the Guardiola era.

It was against Liverpool and any other time where clearly the team was not in the right physical or mental condition to do the work necessary. Don't think anyone should sugarcoat it, friendly or no friendly, lots for Lucho to be concerned about. Or the alternative is that perhaps we're learning that Enrique doesn't necessarily prepare his team like he should or could. Pep thought 3 years was enough, maybe he has something. They don't look in the right physical state to
play a Kopp team but what is Lucho thinking Sampaoli is going to offer up shortly?

We'll see but I think there's definitely cause for some concern, strange to see so little reaction from the team - bizarre vibe

MD suggested this as a possible line-up until Neymar is back. Thoughts?

Felt like the time to experiment with a formation like that was in the earlier pre-season matches, plus I wouldn't be thrilled with a slow footed Pique as sweeper

That will never happen. Lucho sadly doesn't make many formation or tactical changes.

He really cares nothing about what happens when he's gone.

Munir plays pre-season and shows good form, tried a lot too - gets benched.
Arda play like shit, doesn't even try - gets rewarded.

Samper will go on loan or play some meaningless Copa matches.

You can forget Alena's face too until 2017 pre-season.

If Robert hadn't pushed with young signings we'd be screwed in a year or two with veteran squad Lucho liked for his short-term plans.

I really like our bench this year compared to last. Umtiti, Digne, Denis, Vidal, and an improved Munir; all together they can play a pretty decisive role in keeping the squad fresh and the momentum going deep into the season.

He said himself that this is the best squad he have had at Barca, and it is hard to disagree. Pedro and Xavi was great subs the first season, but CB, LB and arguably CM has better depth now. A stronger bench was much needed - but it has been accomplished, and with youth too.

So you'd rather he not experiment with Arda in the LW when he already knows Munir can play LW? And Munir did play.
You'd rather he drop Busi to play Samper? Because what, hes young and a La Masia graduate? If he was good enough to play he would be playing. He clearly isnt ready.
Freaking Alena?! You want a kid who hasnt even played in Barca B to be promoted to the first team? He isnt better than Iniesta, Rakatic , Rafina , Denis , Gomes or even Arda so why keep him in the first team if you arent gonna play him? People just want La Masia youths to be playing in the first team when they clearly arent ready. If he did promote them and not played them you guys would complain. Same thing if he played them and the team lost. He plays players on merit and that is the right way of thinking. It is enough that he plays them in pre-season like what all the other clubs do.

A barca without the youth,is not a barca I recognize or love.

Under his n and the rosell gang, we have become Just another meh club, there is nothing that marks us unique from the Madrid's and Chelsea's of the world anymore.
