What I read between the lines is that board and Robert pushed for young signings (re-sale value being quoted) while Lucho has a track-record of preferring older guys.

Look at lb situation for example. Digne came in at Pizjuan as 3rd choice lb.

For lw he continues to play Arda.

None of the new 100 million signings there.

Lucho would have obviously agreed to the signings. End of the day, he picks the team, no player would come unless they had a chat with the manager and the manager said they wanted them especially in a competitive team like Barca.

I just hope Lucho stops being so stubborn by playing Mathieu at LB for more games if Digne/Alba are available. Also hope Umtiti is his 3rd choice as far as CBs goes. Mathieu has done a decent job for us at the CB position and is a valuable back-up for that position, but shouldn't be ahead of Umtiti in the pecking order IMO.

i think you need not to worry about those issues .. there is no way we gonna see mathiew in the left after today's performance .. and Umiti indeed is gonna be our 3 choice

Digne did not play because he had only a few days training.
