I don't think this was posted but Lucho, made a interesting comment on Munir and Samper.

I guess Lucho is giving them the choice to either stay or go out on Loan.

He's giving them choice but expecting them to work hard and earn their place and not expect chances to be presented in a silver plate!

I think, contrary to the belief on the forum, Lucho is very much interested in giving chances to the youth players..... Only, as I said, he is not exactly spoon feeding them!

True, and he's been pretty straightforward with which young players he likes and which he doesn't. And that's pretty fair as well. He doesn't sugarcoat things, that's for sure.

Roberto is one that Lucho will use as a poster boy when it comes to Hard work and doing something with the minutes they receive.

Denis while he was brought in for Barca B, Lucho took a liking to him and even wanted him back since last year. His message to Samper and Munir is pretty simple "If you want to stay follow Roberto's example and be patient and work your ass off and use those minutes you get well" or "Go out on loan like Denis did and impress and improve and come back a much better player".

And like you guys said above, it's how Lucho is. Not everyone likes it but I understand Lucho's point of view on things.

Curious to see how Lucho uses Rafinha when he gets back. He didn't look great for Brazil during the Olympics (albeit in limited minutes) and now there are other good players fighting for minutes in the same position.

There is no place for Rafinha, he's not good enough unfortunately.

Good enough for what? he is the 4th/5th option in the CM/AM role. for that he look good enough actually. May be even too good for such role

It's wrong for a player like him to be 4th/5th option when he could be first option and play european football at Celta for example. Him and Samper should move on loan imo. We're too stacked in midfield and if we sign a no9 then that's really bad news for Rafinha's playing time in offence (I don't think he's good enough to play in front of either Iniesta, Arda, Denis, Gomes and Rakitic). His position would be Messi's sub, but Messi doesn't rest like normal players do, he plays all games, or at least 95% of them anyway. He can't play LW either with Arda's recent performances there, and there's also Neymar who will be back soon. I can only see one good spot for him, Messi's sub at RW. It depends on how often will Lucho be able to convince Messi to rest in the easier games. My guess is, not too often. Maybe 6-7 games in the whole season, mostly Copa early rounds.

Good enough for what you ask? Well, good enough to get minutes from Gomes, Denis, Iniesta, Rakitic and Arda. There would have to be 2 long term injuries before he would get any minutes. And even when he was given minutes before his injury, he looked mostly confused imo and didn't really help the team.

Lucho likes Rafinha and will make time for him, as he always has when fit. Rafinha is to Lucho what Thiago was to Pep.
