Jeez.

People just want this team not to get penetrated by the likes of Alaves. No one is demanding we play and dominate like Dream Team Barca or Prime Pep Barca.

This squad should be more than good enough for that.

Wow, with every new game barca touch new low level of play, this was embaressing, totaly outolayed by atletico, almost out with good result from first match, maybe i will be harsh now, but if lucho have dignity and want best for barca, he should leave right now, because he is useless as a coach.

You're overreacting. People here praised Madrid, and Madrid won a lot, really a lot of games undeservedly. The Alaves game was an accident, much like the Malaga and Deportivo, and Celta and Hercules, and really several other games in which we were not mentally in the game. It happens. Roll with it.

Where is overreacting if barca fan wants barca not be outplayed from almost every team in la liga?

I don't think I am, and I don't know about those people, but I've never praised Madrid for 'lucking' out wins.

You can have an accident, and then another one.....and then one more due to the squad being unfocused or simply bad luck or execution. No problem. We had those even at our dominant best, but to play badly for a long time is not an accident. It's a chain collision that keeps dragging one car after another in it.

Whose job is it to prepare the players to be mentally in it?

I've explained my point a dozen times lately and I don't think I'm being unfair or overreacting. I don't think you'll find many who actually think we're playing well, playing as a team.

Mental exhaustion from winning almost everything in the last two seasons can cause the players to lose a bit of focus and a bit of motivation. Why do you think Pep's Barcelona went from the best ever in 2010-11, to the 2nd best in Spain in several months? Level of play drops with time, because it becomes increasingly harder to motivate the players and to keep them as hungry as before.

You are right there. But then, this just supports the idea that Lucho should leave in the summer, no?

Depends on how we end the season. If we somehow get the fire back in the CL then he has to stay if he wants to. If we implode in april-may, then yes, he needs to leave.

We should also emphasize one more thing. Number of players are constantly being played out of their position so off course they are bad.

Arda is winger not CM
Rafinha and Denis are also more wingers than midfielders
Sergi Roberto is not RB he is CM or DM
Aleix Vidal is not RB he is RW
Andre Gomes is not DM he is CM
Rakitic is not some mixture of RM and RB and he is not DM for sure.
Masche played as RB today and he also uses Mathieu as LB every now and then

Lucho has created chaos on the field and he has recquested similar players for positions in which they can't excel. New manager will need some time to fix this mess for sure!

Honestly even if we win the CL I think he should still leave. I don't think he has another season in him and he doesn't seem to think so either.

He's probably gone by summer either way and it's probably for the best. I think he's burned out like Pep was.

Similar characteristics? Like Oliver Torres, the new Xavi we need to sign? Or Aleix Vidal, the new Alves. Or Montoya, who was (good god, that looks funny now) 'better than Alves'? The man who's ankle was broken by Sergio Canales?

What happened during Pep made us, as fans, predisposed to overrating players simply by looking at their style, outside of their quality. We see someone who reminds us a bit of Xavi, and think he is the next Xavi, without looking at anything else but style. And, the same, we trash players who can be of good use, because their qualities are different.

You can speak for yourself there. That's not the problem here, AT ALL. You're playing coy to keep the excuses coming. The current squad should also be doing better than it is. And no, I never liked oliver torres. But tell me, where did Umtiti come from? Isn't he a good signing? You're telling me they couldn't find a different kind of midfielder, if they actually searched for one? They didn't look for a player with similar characteristics to xavi, because they didn't want to. It's this simple.

Precisely.
