And why would you specifically pick last 19? He scored 12 goals and has 11 assists in his last 3 CL seasons (27 games) for us. I doubt any other striker contributed more. Show me the numbers of other strikers. Would like to see Benzema or Lewandowski. Suarez performed for us in the CL more than anyone else.

Scored the only 2 goals against Atletico in the quarters in 2016.
Scored the early opener against PSG last season and won the penalty for Neymar's goal.
Scored the winner against Leverkusen in the group stages in 2016 which secured us the top spot.
Assisted 2 and made the correct diagonal run to drag away the defender for Dembélé's goal against Chelsea this season.

Scores in every single Clasico as well.

Picking on this guy is ridiculous. He doesn't have to perform every single game. No one does but he's clearly our top 2 decisive player in the squad.

Picking on him is not ridiculous. You criticize players that don't perform well and he's had a lot of games where he hasn't done well at all.

He scored 67 goals for us in the last 2 seasons including 3 in the last 4 Clasicos. In the crucial games where he did not perform no one else did shine either (Juventus, PSG away, Roma away).

At the beginning of the season when he truly sucked he was rushing back from an injury and had some issues with his knee.

What's there to criticize? Except Messi everyone else performs less than this guy in the whole squad. Pique gets ruined by the likes of Aspas consistently. Busquets without absolute possession dominance can't even run or outmuscle his own sister as a defensive midfielder. Huge reason why in the big CL games our midfield gets overrun. Still living off of the "underrated mastermind behind Xavi and Iniesta" hype from years ago. Alba is a one trick pony who does the same straight line forward run and pass in the middle to Messi. Sergi Roberto is average overall despite some good moves here and there. Umtiti's form did not last an entire season (which is okay for a young defender). Etc.

Would have a lot to criticize before this guy. Just because he doesn't have the consistent touch of a midfield maestro.

You obviously forgot the donkey Suarez from October - mid December, when he was unbenchable, despite absolutely horrible performances.

I'd have to agree with this. Suarez has been off many times this season, but in almost every important win in La Liga he was important. Scored agains the biggest teams in La Liga. In CL the problem was sistemic, starting with Valverde.
