Luis Suárez

Neither EV, Messi or the other big names in the locker room will want him sold.

Messi has seen Deco,Pinto and Cesc leaving without having any problem, he probably understands it more than fans and board itself does.
EV might prefer to get rid of him rather than dealing with too many stars.
Honestly I would prefer getting rid of him due to high wages, even if we get peanuts for him.

Dumbest shit ever. 151 goals and 60+ assists in 195 games. Griez can only dream of ever getting anywhere close to sniffing that, Suarez still produces in big games , and the times he been off usually whole team sucks,he still got plenty to offer, and at no point has messi ever been close to any teammates than Suarez, their wife's are best friends and their sons are best friends, messi will never let that happen, not to mention griez is not a strong 9,Suarez is fighter physically strong and still very creative, if barca really want to sell him, they need to wait ine more year and see how it goes there is no doubt he was injured beginning of season, then he turned on jets.

the hyper suarez fans posting his goal tally at barca are like me saying messi can play at barca at 45 because he has scored + assisted 800 goals for us or whatever the number may be.

literally no one is denying that suarez was monster/ WC level in 14-15 and 15-16 (as well as in 12-13 and 13-14 for liverpool).

the problem is the last 2 years where he has seriously underperformed in the CL as one of our main goalscorers.

If he produced in big games he would not have 4 goals in his last 19 CL games(last two years) and cover less distance and hardly press anymore. Turning up for a few La Liga games and stadpadding simply isn't enough.

there is only one way to improve our intensity and pressing and that is to bench suarez for grizman.. grizman and coutinho are young and hungry and would be a huge improvement on old iniesta and suarez in that particular area.. suarez could easily be our new larsson and even play as a starter in much games.. alcacer needs to be sold.. not good enough at all.. almost in the same bracket as gomes, a number 9 not having killer instinct, nor height, nor physique, nor speed, nor liaison skills.. mid table player is what alcacer.

Suarez would need to take a paycut for that and I doubt he'll agree.

If Suarez is sold I would not mind signing someone like Dzeko.

And Cesc might be his best friend/childhood friend since La Masia days. He didn't make a fuss about it. Messi knows it's a business and that some decisions are taken for the best of the club.

I think Suarez is still good for 1-2 years but not as a fix starter, competition could push him but Paco is nowhere near being a rival.

But selling would also be an option, sometimes it's good to change things up and that not only includes subs. But in this case we would not only need Griezmann but probably a number 9 too because i don't think Paco has it and Valverde doesn't seem to rate him. But getting the right player there could also be difficult and i don't really expect Suarez to leave. It'll be probably Griezmann for Paco and Vidal in attack.

Cesc has decided to leave on his own, that's why Messi didn't have problems with that. I don't think he was ever as close with Pinto or Deco. Ronaldinho was probably his best friend that was sold on club's decision but back then Messi was 20 with not as much power inside the club as he has now. I think pushing Suarez out of the club against his will would clearly upset Messi.

Another thing, even if we decide to sell Suarez and he agrees to that I don't see any destination for him. I don't see him going to China/Qatar. Return to EPL is unlikely because most people there hate him and he'd probably only want to return to Liverpool who don't need him. I don't see Bayern or PSG going after him so that probably only leaves Serie A clubs. Juve has Higuain, maybe Inter (if they sell Icardi) or Milan would like him but I doubt they can afford his wages.

Why did you give him a contract till 2021?

Cause there's a clear pattern of giving old AND/OR declining AND/OR crap players ridiculously long contracts at Barca. It's like a retirement home for some footballers it seems.

Absolutely NO way he should be our main starter next season. NO freaking way. But will Valverde have the gumption to bench him enough? Doubt it. Would happily sell if an offer came through; he's someone who'd actually fetch decent money even at his age.

Pinto was really close to Messi, was said at that time that he was even closer to him than Cesc. And Cesc was sort of mutual and not just his decision. Deco was closer than R10 too.
Agree with last part, but that is another argument
