Luis Suárez

He's doing amazing now. I really hope he keeps this up, because there are so many bad strikers out there, its a terrible time looking for his replacement.

For real, there are barely any quality strikers around that are on that level.
The likes of Icardi and Werner should not even be mentioned.
It might be better to turn a player into a strikers than buy one with the current market.

Again, kudos to him. He was basically alone in the final third yesterday with Rafinha, Coutinho and Munir being useless and Dembele ordered to stay on the wing and cross the shit out of the ball.

Man, reading this thread is pure comedy gold. Just post after post of absolute lunacy, one guy even suggested we should switch Luis Suarez for Timo Werner, ROFLMAO. An even crazier suggestion was to go for Lautaro Martinez, I'd rather go for a random dude in Tercera División to be honest.

People need to get some grip on reality, Suarez is the best goalscorer this club has ever had behind Lionel Messi, and whatever player that will eventually replace Suarez will not ever come close to the killer instinct of our uruguayan son of a beast. This is just fact.

Unfortunately, Suárez's killer instinct doesn't translate well into Champions League...

Only made 4 UCL-goals in 21 games since 16/17, which is genuinely pathetic.

To put into perspective, "Own Goals" was our 2nd best top scorer with 5 goals last season.

Noone has ever questioned that Suárez's goalscoring production in league campaigns is very, very impressive.

The man guarantees 20+ league goals every season.

However, he should start consistently deliver in UCL as well. We can't always rely on Messi and "Own Goals" to bail us out.

Gatekeeping at its best. Newsflash: people have different opinions.

Xtroverto doesn't care about the CL and deem it an irrelevant competition in contrast to pretty much everyone else including the team and captain itself.

That said, credit where its due. Suarez looked like he was finished. His overall game was crap and he was struggling to score even in the league apart from tap-ins and freebies.

I don't know whether it really was his injury or all the reports about the club looking for a new striker that woke him up.

But he's done it and is playing really well these days.

You are making the assumtion that somehow another player would be a better alternative. Now history tells us that is simply not true, of all the goalscorers in FC Barcelona European cup history, Luis Suarez has been the best we have had yet, regardless of scoring goals or not. Going as far back as to Evaristo in 1959 and through to Munir in present day, they have all been usless hacks, with one single exception, that goes by the name of Lionel Messi. The reality is that FC Barcelona has never had a reliable goalscorer in Europe, David Villa is a typical example of what I call a useless hack, Patrick Kluivert is another one, Ibrahimovic a third one, Hristo Stoichkov a fourth one, not to mention Samuel Eto'o, even Rivaldo whom I adore I must admit he was useless i European cup football.

It is utterly naive to belive that somehow we can just go onto the market and buy a player that will bend reality and blast through the matrix, the bitter truth is that FC Barcelona has never ever had a good goalscorer in Europe and never ever will have, with the single exception of Messi.
