You are making the assumtion that somehow another player would be a better alternative. Now history tells us that is simply not true, of all the goalscorers in FC Barcelona European cup history, Luis Suarez has been the best we have had yet, regardless of scoring goals or not. Going as far back as to Evaristo in 1959 and through to Munir in present day, they have all been usless hacks, with one single exception, that goes by the name of Lionel Messi. The reality is that FC Barcelona has never had a reliable goalscorer in Europe, David Villa is a typical example of what I call a useless hack, Patrick Kluivert is another one, Ibrahimovic a third one, Hristo Stoichkov a fourth one, not to mention Samuel Eto'o, even Rivaldo whom I adore I must admit he was useless i European cup football.

It is utterly naive to belive that somehow we can just go onto the market and buy a player that will bend reality and blast through the matrix, the bitter truth is that FC Barcelona has never ever had a good goalscorer in Europe and never ever will have, with the single exception of Messi.

Yes, I am absolutely serious when I say Eto'o was useless, beside the two goals in the finals, he played 21 kockout games and scored 5 goals, he was next to useless in 1/8 through 1/2 finals, Suarez by comparison has played 18 kockout games and scored 9 goals, not to mention the assist stats where he is just ****** Eto'o.

Henry is my favourite player but that doesnt do Suarez justice.
Suarez is arguably the third best player in the Messi/Ronaldo era, only other player to score 40+ Goals in la liga, arguably best barca striker bar Messi, had the best ever pl season with 31 goals without penalties, has been better in la liga than Ronaldo, won a copa america for Uruguay and will end up with 500+ goals. The guy is a genius, not clean cut like Messi but in an insane chaotic kind of way.

Rubbish, Eto'o played in the 2 best playing teams Barcelona has ever had, He was completely invisible in 1/8 against Chelsea in 05 on stamford bridge. His useless finishing against AC Milan in 06 on Camp Nou was especially atrocious, luckily for him AC Milan was even worse in front of the goal that day, hard to belive really.

Again with the cherrypicking. I can say and do the same for half of suarez's games (roma, juve, etc), but it doesn't prove anything, because it's all subjective and based on a few games. Again, Eto'o wasn't useless. and that's the end of that.
