Seems like he won't be called up by Uruguay and will sit out the international break in March.

For our sake I hope Uruguay exits the Copa America early. However I just can't rout for a Messi led Argentina to do poor, even if it is better for Barca. Just can't swallow that one, hope he wins it even if it adds some fatigue into the 1st part of next year's season.

He should play the Clasico an from then on feature minimally in the league. Mostly sub appearances for 20 minutes to keep match fitness. We need him to be hungry and play with passion in CL.

@Real - Full Game
Supercopa Catalunya -Rested
@Rayo - Rested
vs Lyon - Full Game
@Betis - Subbed out in 2nd half
vs Espanyol - Subbed out in 2nd half
@ Villarreal - 20 minute appearance
vs Atletico - Full game
@Huesca - Rested
vs Sociedad - Subbed out in 2nd half
@Alaves - Full game
vs Levante - 20 minute appearance
@Celta - Full game
vs Getafe - 20 minute appearance
@Eibar - Full game

We should schedule him something like that. But knowing EEEEEErnie, he will be playing most of those games in full.

I absolutely believe a schedule like this would be helpful. He wouldn't have to follow it strict--allow a bit of in game flexibility, but if he overuses him one game the staff should insist he must take a longer break next match. Should be like a minutes per game counter, or use a fitbit for max steps any 10 day period, period!

Cule, I totally realized what you meant but because I agree in the premise (though not to the extreme worthiness of complete contempt you have about it) I decided to comment.

looks like a bull in a china shop most of the time. valverde needs to tell him to just keep it simple. but ofc no-balls valverde prolly scared to give critisism to his veteran core

Not a good match, but the front trio looked poor in general. Such weird long balls, love it :lol:
