Heard it all now lol suarez can barely be considered a club legend and you want to compare him to Ronaldinho? Suarez had 2 good seasons and was a shadow of his former self after that doing a job but nothing spectacular. He wasn't the main driving force or a critical element in this barca team since 2017. His goals could very well have been replaced by another striker eg augero, auba, lewa etc.

Suarez is absolutely a club legend, 3rd highest goalscorer, 4 league titles, 4 Cups and the European Cup and scored in the final against Juventus. One of the greatest players to ever play for the club and an important part of one of our 2 treble winning teams. Barca number 9/starting striker is a privileged position and he's stank the place out for 3 seasons. In that role you'll always get goals but his general gameplay is Sunday League level.

YES! And great legends like Xavi and Iniesta, they leave the club because they think it is best for the club! And if Messi thinks somethnig else and dont whant his "amigos" go, than he needs to leve club too.

There's parallels with the departures of the two anyway. Both considered a bad influence on Messi, both way, way below the level they were in their early years at the club and overweight and unfit.

The best thing you can do for a player sometimes is to be cruel to be kind. Keeping Ronaldinho around for more seasons would have really harmed his legacy. I think Suarez has long reached that point already but keeping him around for another couple of seasons would only harm his standing at the club. If fans were at grounds he'd be whistled every week.
