Luis Suárez

Can you imagine we tried to push Eto'o out while he was top of his game. Now compare that to Suarez situation. Club owes nothing to him and he should be grateful he was kept for so long.

The overall limited memory for any player except Messi in this forum is astounding. I don't know what to say.

He's again in play for Juve who have troubles to get Dzeko. They don't want to pay any transfer fee though but that's ok with me. Just offloading his high wages and not having his toxic behaviour in the rebuilding team should be a priority over getting a few millions of transfer fee imo. I'd be ok letting him go for free (as long as he won't demand us to pay his wages for next season) with some variables if Juve qualifies for the CL. Or we could even tie these variables to them winning a Serie A which they'll 99% do.

Juve, Dzeko on stand by but the dream is Suarez: the Pistolero in heat ... with the assistance of the taxman

Negotiations for the Bosnian stalled: Rome and Naples must find an agreement for Milik. Meanwhile Luis is looking for a severance pay from Bar?a and is thinking about the agreement with the bianconeri

Everything remains blocked, time is running out and Juve is in a hurry. And accelerate. Because Andrea Pirlo needs a center forward as soon as possible, especially after Gonzalo Higuain was ushered to the door without too many compliments: the Argentine, with whom he has been negotiating the exit for some time, was the only "nine" in the role of the rose and in that position you need to immediately put a patch on the hole that has been created. Fabio Paratici has moved in time and has already got his hands on Edin Dzeko: the Bosnian striker likes Pirlo very much, who considers him perfect to be the partner of Cristiano Ronaldo (who thinks the same way), but the stumbling block, as is well known, it is the triangulation with Rome and Naples that also involves Arkadiusz Milik. If the Pole - once the first choice of the Bianconeri, now much more secluded - went to the Giallorossi the domino effect would start and all the pieces would quickly fall into place.

Favorable tax -

But for now the surplace continues and Juve is giving more than a thought to Luis Suarez, who yesterday trained with Barcelona where he is no longer welcome, as the new Blaugrana coach Ronald Koeman communicated to him, who yesterday inaugurated the new one. season at the ?Joan Gamper? sports center. Thus the Juventus club began the dialogue with the Uruguayan entourage, who in Catalonia has a net salary of 15 million euros per season until June 30, 2021. And after a contact between the parties, for the first time the discussion regarding salaries was deepened. And here, making a quick calculation, it turned out that the Suarez operation between one thing and another at Juve would cost about the same as that relating to Dzeko, at least in terms of salary. Merit of the favorable Italian taxation: the famous Growth Decree, eventually, would play sideways with the Lady. To be clear: if Suarez is "satisfied" with 10 million net a year, "only" 15 million would come out of the bianconeri coffers. The same more or less that would serve to satisfy Dzeko who asks for 7.5 net. Furthermore, Juve made another consideration: relatively little could be spent for the Pistolero card if the Uruguayan found a severance pay agreement with Barcelona and this too would have its weight because to take Dzeko, Roma will ask at least ten million euros.

Priority-

In short, the situation is very fluid, of course there is also Suarez's approval of moving to Turin. His priority these days is to find a way out with Barcelona, where in six seasons he won a Champions League (2015), scoring in the final in Berlin against Juventus, and four times in La Liga. But it will not be easy given that the money involved is a lot and at those latitudes the situation is explosive, between the Messi issue and everything else. Much depends on Pistolero himself since, as mentioned, Juve does not want to spend a lot on his card.

Final Sprint -

The feeling is that the duel between Dzeko and Suarez, two players with different characteristics but both functional to Pirlo's game project, will be decided on the edge of time: the first to free himself will have a lot of chances to dress the black and white nine and thus act at alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. In the mind of the new coach of the Lady, the Portuguese, in order to improve his performance at Juventus even more, needs to have a strong partner who has free space, good feet and is rather inclined to assist. If a Bosnian or Uruguayan face corresponds to this identikit, we will soon find out.

Having Suarez, Vidal, Rakitic off of the wage bill on free transfers is ok. It also strangely gives us more leverage with Messi as we don't need to let him go for free, with more breathing space among our salaries.

Suarez wants his 25M before leaving

same as with rakitic and probably vidal - we need to find a club that wants him and is willing to pay his wages. otherwise, player wouldn't give up 25M just so he can be a free agent and not have assurance of a similar financial package from another club.

Raki has taken a 50% pay cut to re-join Sevilla and won't demand anything from Barca.

I read it was 8m a year. Barca was 12m right? Not 100% on those figures. But the thing is sevilla giving him a 3 year contract long term means more money and being able to stay in a place he knows and loves.

According to reports he had 8m net here and will have around 3.7m in Sevilla (he'll still be their highest paid player).

maybe they've sweetened the deal with a big signing on fee and other clauses/bonuses.

would you give up 25M when you have a written contract?

It's Sevilla we're talking about so I doubt they'd give him a big signing bonus. He might get some bonuses if Sevilla will qualify for the CL, win the EL again or something like that but in general it's still a 50% pay cut.

He probably got 8M signing on fee of something like that.

Suarez is another case. He wants Barcelona to fully pay his 25million and then go to another club and get their wages + signing on fee extra

If Juve can almost reach that amount with their beneficial tax laws i think he could

thing is suarez can stay here for the season and can negotiate with other clubs in 6 months time. he would still get 25M and would be able to get a fat signing bonus + salary.

also, as far as i know his wife's family settled in barcelona before suarez came to europe. so that's why he wouldn't want to leave the city in a hurry.

depends if juve are really interested and if suarez would take the challenge.

That's nice. Very nice of him.

don't be naive. no one is nice when it comes to money they earn. rakitic weighted his options and got the deal he wanted at the team/city he wanted. most certainly he got a similar deal overall and what he lost in money(not much i would guess) maybe he gets back in his family stability and well being.

Again, this is Sevilla not City. They can't afford to give players big sign on fees.

Indeed he could do that, but would a big club like Juve still be interested next summer when he's 34 and may not have played much at all.

They could give him a 2 year contract on similar wages and he would not lose too much
