From multiple sources saying Koeman wanted him out a few weeks ago to now this? WTF is going on? who to believe? Did Koeman see fatty make a few good goals in practice and it convinced him he was good enough?

To be fair Barto isn't doing shit. We are in a horrible situation! It's 11th of September and only Rakitic left the club! Umtiti, Vidal and Suarez are still here and we didn't buy anyone! Garcia probably won't arrive this summer and even if we manage to get rid of these three fuckers there won't be enough time to buy anyone! Fucking Barto is doing the same shit all over again!

Well, you can sign players until October 5th, so there is still nearly one month time. But I agree with you, it doesn't look like they are doing anything and in the ideal case you have your squad when pre-season starts. It is hard to get rid of players with high salary, with this pandemic even more. Activities are very slow on the transfer market, clubs act very reluctant. Madrid hasn't signed anyone, Liverpool hasn't signed Thiago although it is an open secret that both parties are more than interested.
I fear we have to move away from the idea that there will be more signings. Club was already in a bad financial state before this pandemic started. Squad even got more expensive with Coutinho and Pjanic joining.

There are so many rumours out there we shouldn't jump and make conclusions on all of them.
People fail to realize that about our salaries. Yeah, we let Arthur and Rakitic go, but Coutinho is probably on 250k a week and Pjanic is probably on 150k a week. Technically our wage bill has gone up. Yes, the transfer market is open for another 3 weeks.... but it doesn't mean anything if you have no money to spend. Even if we get rid of Suarez and Vidal, we still won't have any money to spend.
This season is about to be a disaster.

How do you know they are not doing anything? We don't know what's really going on behind the scenes. There are surely a lot of ongoing negotiations and a few different scenarios the club is working on. Just because nothing is reported doesn't mean things are not developing one way or another. And just because some things are reported it doesn't mean they are 100% true even if they come from somewhat reliable sources. Journalists mostly don't know what's happening but they need to write something so they just speculate like most of us. And some rumours are also leaked by either clubs or players's agents to help things work in their favour during negotiations or for whatever other reason.
I'm just in relax and a wait and see mode right now. I often find transfer windows fun because of those rumours but some people really take things too far imo. We can't impact anything that's happening so why jump on every silly rumour out there and be in a good/bad mode based on what some mediots (who are all just doing their job; one better, other worse) are reporting.
There are still more than 3 weeks until transfer window closes and while it's far from ideal doing late transfers they can and often do happen. This year is also special so teams needed to adapt to new conditions. I don't believe Bartomeu will leave things like this and futher changes will surely happen in next few weeks. For a better or worse only time will tell.
Bartomeu doesn't give a fuck if we sign any players. Him keeping Messi is a big win for him, so he'll treat that as a new signing... especially with us getting Coutinho back. And we don't have any money to spend, so it doesn't matter if there's 3 weeks left in the transfer window.

I don't know. It's just my opinion. IMHO we won't sign anyone because Barto doesn't give a fuck about the results. His only intention is to fill the holes in the balance sheet so he doesn't end up in jail like Rosell did. There is clearly no sporting project so why would I hope for anything good at this point?
