Not surprised Suarez won his team the league.

Sit the fuck down haters and enjoy panic buy finished Aguero while Atletico begin decade of dominance

He won't.

At this point, BBZ gets some sort of weird satisfaction in shamelessly "teaching" us Barcelona fans how we're "wrong" with distorted stats.

I bet if I looked, I will find 100s of posts from BBZ himself how Suarez is a granny and useless. And how the league matters fuck all to him.

But on this day, he'll post "King of the League championships" to rile up Barca fans.

BBZ, stay classless, as usual.

Suarez was always one of my favorite players here.
For example, I always disliked Neymar both on and off the pitch, yet liked Sukki/Suarez.

Regarding last season, since we sucked, I was 50:50.
On some days, I defended Suarez, for example when we signed Griezz and people wanted Griezz as a starter.
I used to say: there is no way that he will be better than Suarez.

But on other days and as season progressed, there were days when I was pissed with his first touch and passing and when I wanted him gone.

Now, in hindsight, we are way worse without him.
In hindsight, I would describe it this way:
1. With Suarez, we were declining. We were horrible in a CL and we were worse and worse in La liga each new season.
2. Without Suarez, we are clowns. Absolute comedy both in La liga and Europe.

So, was keeping Suarez an answer?
Not really.
But our situation now isn't an answer either.

I don't want to teach people.
I would just like to see them being less optimistic and more cautious.
Again, majority of guys came from Mes que un club/La masia/joy/domination/Pep era where it looked as if we are better, honest, more special club.
But as time goes by, it shows that Pep's era is an anomaly and that our club from top to bottom is filled with frauds, or incompetent grandpas, or our philosophy/scouting/methods/trainings are outdated.
And a lot of in our club is erratic and emotional.
We don't have a clear longterm plan, we keep Catalan players due to politics and get rid of strangers, we hire only coaches with Barca DNA in order not to change our way, lol.

The same is with Messi.
He is good, but he is also limiting the club in some ways.
But after him, for a few seasons, we will surely suck even more.

So, on one hand, I want Messi gone, but then... we will be way worse.

Then, we would need money for new signings but we don't have those because we are run by frauds and our transfers are impulsive.
Then, maybe we should rely on La Masia, but then kids from La Masia aren't trained in physique and in mental strength because that is not in our DNA.

About la liga vs CL, I always cared about a CL.
But imo, except for insane luck, we won't compete for a CL for a long time, so the only thing left is La liga.

And then again, we sold Suarez to get Aguero 12 Months later.

This post/rant is all over the place.
But I am pissed at our club from a top to bottom.
And then I am pissed at guys who talk about Mes que un club and La Masia.
We were always an amateurish club, who were the biggest spenders in history, and who from time to time win titles due to Messi, once in a century generation or some world class superstar transfer here and there (Ronnie&Etoo).
In general, when you remove Messi, what we have today is closer to real, chaotic, regular Barca than glory days.

People talk about our domination for 15 years and our good project.
Yet, we were given the gift of having Leo from out of nowhere, paired with Xaviniesta.
Paired with good transfers from 2004-2005.

When you exclude luck (Messi, Xavi-Iniesta), this looks like a regular Barca.

Masterclass every game? Bet you didn't watch most of their games. He had his moments of greatness + his usual solid level by not letting in easy balls. I didn't say he wasn't great, but Atletico were solid at the back in most seasons.

Never said masterclass every game.

I think it's fine to be pissed with the club for not signing a replacement forward, but selling Suarez specifically wasn't a mistake. He was performing extremely poorly for us, it's total hindsight to say 'look what he did elsewhere' when none of what he's done at Atletico this year was apparent in his game for the last two seasons. He needed a kick up the backside, and Barca selling him provided that. If he stayed here he'd have remained fat and complacent and we'd all still be whinging about how bad he is.

I'm glad he's found the motivation and hunger to turn it around, but not sorry we sold him. Our mistake was not signing someone to replace him. And Aguero is certainly not it.

We didn't lose LaLiga because of selling Suarez. But Atletico did win LaLiga because of signing Suarez.

Anyways, congrats to Messi.

Hmmm with suarez we would have won la liga, 100%. Watching atletico matches this season i see especially one strenght from Suarez: He is making lots of runs in the box. We missed a player who could do that, braithwhite doesnt have the IQ for it. If we would have bought a good replacement for suarez its all good. But selling Suarez while having the bum braith was a very stupid move from Barto.

Suarez was a temporary solution, a guarantee for goals for any team, he hid problems, just like Neymar. Had he stayed this year, Barcelona would've won the league I am sure. But he had to go sooner or later and sooner was good. Under a coach starting a new era instead of "transitioning" Barcelona would've had good chances to win as well...

It's terrible to see people blame "la masia/mes que un club" etc for the decline, when we have had 10 years of neglecting that part for more of that star quality and "less than a club", while all the time harvesting the fruits of what was allowed to come under Rijkaard and Pep. All succes since Pep has been because of what he built. Messi is of course crucial, but he has played since Pep left as well.

Yes Barcelona are headed into mediocricy without Messi, whatever path they take probably. Their only chance to stay at the top now is to go for that style that has given them their every success so far: what Cruyff brought and that was partly in Rijkaards teams and completely in Peps team.

I can't believe there will ever be opportunities for windows like 2003 or 2004 in the future.
