He is injuried if you hadnt noticed. Modric, along with Ronaldo, Casilas and Ramos will be the last player to be pushed out, no way he will be out if he keep his level up.

Ancelotti once said that "in 15 days Modric will start training with the team" but 18 days later he still hasn't done that and there's no real prediction to when he'll come back.He doesn't feel satisfied how his recovery is been going. He's apparently been going from doctor to doctor, 4 cities in 86 days. That's what this article says....
