Not helping his case with misses like that. Way too soon to judge him. When you have zero consistency, barely any playing time and thus as a result very little if any confidence and are playing, almost every single time, with makeshift lineups and new players, the end result cannot be a pretty one most of the time.

To me, given his price tag, reputation and him being an established player, Coutinho was way worse. Lost a crucial ball due to his consistent idiotic habit of losing tons of balls.

Had Malcom scored after making that good run and dribbling the keeper, those who are criticizing him would be praising him. Such is the margin of success and failure.

This is on Valverde much like many of Dembélé's problems where last season and earlier this season. He never struck me as our typical signing but he is much better than that. At least make him perform close to his level for us to be able to sell him without a too big loss. Alas.

I think he a good player but today didn’t help his case, it more so hurt it than anything. He was doing okay before the miss, after that, everything collapsed for him.

Thing is I’m not sure he get anymore chances to prove me right this season. With Dembele injured it would have been a perfect opportunity for him to showcase what he can offer.
