Barca played great football under Van Gaal. We won 2 Ligas and he developed youngsters. Crashing out of CL was very disappointig but just because we looked so dominant.
Van Gaal was heavy character but is underrated for his job here and Bayern. He was the one who returned us to Cruyff roots and build foundations for Rijkaard as well.

You cannot compare the talent that Pep has had to work with Simeone's. Absolutely absurd.
Simeone has transformed Atletico completely. His one Liga title shits on most of Pep's leagues in terms of credibility.

I never said that Simeone worked with better players.
Pep trasformed Barca and City and Bayern too even if the results were worse than expected.
His one la liga title doesn't outshine what Pep did for 9 years.

Both Real and Atleti won one title since he took over . Real wasn't our competitor when they won it in 2014 and when we won it this season . Even under Lucho though we had a great record in league against simeone's Atm ,we had to grind it out (2-1, 2-1 in 2015 after going down in the initial minutes) . In the meanwhile we beat Real 4-0 , 3-0 , when we won the league .
Simeone under performed this season yes But i was talking about those managers who has done well over the past few years . Simeone's work at Atm over this time period is incredible and worth calling him the best as he was competing with Rm and Barca to win all the trophys he won , except the Europa were he steamrolled over Arsenal in the final . Defeated chelsea in Uefa cup back in 2012 fair and square , has beaten Bayern in their own backyard if my memory serves well ( Pep was knocked out by chauolo with much inferior squad compared to the one Bayern had )

Pep transformed Barca? Very charitable.
Bayern? Yeah, he transformed them alright; from treble winners to La Liga whipping boys in the CL.

Pep clearly transformed Barca and had a huge impact on world football with that team.
I think he is a prick at times but he is an amazing coach did change Barca.
It is ok to say both Pep and Simeone have done unbelievable jobs in different ways.

Even Ev played great football in La liga , i don't think he was all negative as the majority of this forum is dispersing him off . Van Gaal is criticized for the way he treated Rivaldo and Riquelmi and even said once that 'Pique will never make it big' .
