Fraudverde apologist, no?
Of course.
Fraudverde apologist, no?
Would you have the same demands for let's say 40M Paulinho (if he would have been benched), or let's say, 75M Willian?
Imagine if we bought Willian and he was benched, would people scream: "Willian needs to play! We need wingers!", or this apply only when a players is YOUNG and TECHNICAL?
Also, why is a 40M Arthur on the list, and a 35M Lenglet NOT on the list?
Why a 40m signing HAS to play, and you don't care about a 35M guy Lenglet?
So, basically, only SOME signings are "special", they need to play no matter what, we need to integrate them as soon as possible and EV should be fired if exactly THOSE golden guys are not playing?
So, some players of our team are more important than others, even though their price is the same, or even if, let's say, they don't play good at all (or we haven't seen a minute of their play ever)?
Simple, tactics and formation won't change by playing Lenglet instead of Umtiti or Verms instead of Pique for example. But playing Dembele & Malcom will change the tactics and formation. Playing Arthur will change the fluidity and game vision.
Playing Lenglet will strengthen our defense and "insert a random virtue" (to justify your ideas).
My point, you are just picking players and a formation which you personally like and then you are asking for EV to be sacked if he won't play that formation.
I am the fan, the same as you, on the other hand, I would actually call for his sacking and for a medical tests if he will, for example, play Dembele&Malcom as starters, drop Suarez, drop Raki, play Messi as a false 9 and similar.
It is all about personal tastes.
What seems as a brilliant plan to you, sounds as the worst formation/lineup to someone else.
So, let's leave a coach to do his job.
If he wants to play Malcom&Dembele, fine, but bring us some trophies.
If he wants to play Gomes-Rakitic-himself midfield, fine, but bring us trophies.
This is not Fc Messi, Fc Neymar or Fc Dembele.
I don't care if he drops Messi, as long as team will be winning.
On the other hand, I have an impression that some fans would trade results of a club, as long as their favorite (usually young) player is playing (and potentially "developing" for the future).
There is nothing wrong with developing, but get your priorities straight.
Development of Dembele and Malcom is NOT more important than club's trophies.
If BOTH (trophies and development) can be achieved in the same time, fine.
If not, a club is always on the place no1.
If young players can jump in and develop/improve in our tempo, fine.
If not, as always: thanks and good luck in some smaller club which will fit you better.
Not going to argue about how important to give more chances to youngsters. This is not only in football, this paramount policy of most fortune 500 companies, the backbone of every successful enterprise. It's a long subject and I advise you to read some books about it.
I will ask you a question, what made you like and support Barcelona if pragmatic football is what you like? This was the debate from last night which made me wonder why many praises Simeone or Mourinho style of football over Pep/Cruyff and still support Barcelona, or the question is why did you support Barcelona to begin with if your "taste" is Catenaccio?
Barca were not always naive in their playing style. They combined necessary elements of physicality, work rate and defensive while playing an overall attacking style. 2006 team had forwards that did defending like Larson and giuly, workhorses like van bommel and Thiago Motta.
Post pep there is a phenomenon of idealists who want to play football that can’t be replicated successfully because that style could only be successful with prime Xavi, Messi and iniesta. Also even in that 2009 team there was necessary physical players like abidal, Keita. Etoo was willing to track back etc.
I understand basic of a business, development, but also of a common sense.
Dembele and Malcom NEED to get chances, everyone agree on that.
But, if Dembele will play like a crap, there is a certain limit of chances given.
It is hard to tell whether that is 10 matches, 20 or 100 matches.
And 1 season or 3 seasons.
But THERE is a limit for everything.
So, chances need to be given.
But also, you need a limit and a common sense.
No offense, but when people say: Dembele, Malcom and Arthur need to play right away, I don't see too much common sense and business, but pure emotions and adrenaline because of young, hot, prospects.
And people are often not objective about their real CURRENT abilities.
Each of us is different, and a way how you, me or some else fall in love with a club is not more holier than other's story.
1. some people love Barca because they are from Barca/Catalonia.
The same as with Real Madrid. They don't love a club because of how a team play but because of a their geographical connection.
2. some people fell in love with Barca because how beautiful we played during Rijkaard or Pep. Majority of guys fell in love during Pep, probably.
3. some others fell in love with Barca ONLY because Messi is playing here. Nothing wrong with that either.
4. some fell in love because Neymar played here.
5. some fell in love because a player from their country is playing here (Uruguay, Argentina, Croatia, France, Germany). Nothing wrong with that either.
I was 12 in 1994 and I was watching Champions league with my dad.
I think that it was a match Barcelonaorto or something like that.
I remember that I liked some dude called Stoichkov, he was very dangerous in that match.
I asked my dad: is he a good player?
He said: yes.
I also think that Ronald Koeman scored a goal from 30-40 meters that night.
I asked my dad: is Koeman good?
He said: he is the best.
I asked: is Barcelona good?
He said: yes.
more or less, that's it. I fell in love with Barca on that night.
Barca won 3:0 or something like that, they played nice, I liked some of their players and that's it.
More than enough for a 12 year old kid to pick his favorite team for the future.
So, you see, there is nothing "holy" or "special" in my love.
I didn't fell in love during Pep.
I didn't fell in love at 433, triangles, short players.
I have my reasons, no matter how stupid they are.
On the other hand, I see it from your posts, let me put my money on: you fell in love with Barca during Pep, or in the worst case scenario, during Rijkaard, right?
Imo, if you fell in love in 90s, you would be more open to 442, less attacking football, crosses, taller players and everything, because everyone who was a fan at 90s was watching that type of Barca for years. (Not that we played ugly. We just played different than under Pep with short players).
I see this question a lot: why are you fan of Barca if you don't like 433 and short players?
Lol, because Barca is NOT only about 433 and short players.
PEP was, though, only about 433 and short players.
Pep doesn't equal whole Barca's history.
Btw, this is the night when I fell in love with Barca:
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xya5bb
= possession football, but way faster and direct than during Pep
About Simeone or Mourinho, I prefer Barca's style.
But again, I would rather see Pep's style mixed with more pragmatic Rijkaard's or Van Gaal's approach.
Pure Pep's style is quite naive, stubborn and outdated for my taste.
Further, I don't hate technical players and similar.
I just think that Dembele is NOT the guy who will write a history at Barca.
Neither is Malcom.
For example, you have never seen my write bad about Coutinho (except his defending), right?
I also wanted Willian here.
So, it is not that I hate ALL technical players, dribblers and similar.
I just don't think that Dembele and Malcom will be our "happy ending" guys.
But again, let's wait and see.
...

I'm certain that 99.9% of people in this forum who's overhyping players like Malcom haven't even regulary followed them.
All of a sudden there are Malcom experts everywhere when in fact Malcom's name wasn't even mentioned at all until the rumour emerged few days ago.
I wonder how many full matches they actually watched to say anything truly reliable about the player.
What are your overexcitement based on?
How can some people seriously think that it's possible to judge players based on youtube highlights?
It's too hilarious.
To me, it's a matter of our tactics & style of play, especially the last 2 seasons. It doesn't really matter how good/fast/technical or whatever the new players are, as long as our actual system doesn't play on their strengths... it's useless.
Our possession and passive ball holding in the opponent 3rd allows good defending teams to over number positions and often leaves fast players (able to beat opponents 1 v 1) isolated, with nothing but a back pass to Busi/Raki as the safest option.
Rather than buying quick wingers we will never use correctly, we scouted for a coach that understands the game as it's played now and actually knows how to play on our strengths.
Hell, even Mbappe would look average under Fraudverde and our tactics, we are way deep into a comfort zone, key players rarely struggling to go the extra mile in terms of creativity (unlike good old Xavi & Iniesta days) and new comers rather than change stuff, they have to adapt and looks like "YOU SHALL NOT RISK OUR SHITTY POSSESION" is the key directive, because of course in defence we have like 2 players that are actually able to run and stop a counter (Alba & Sam).
So, for me, until we change our tactics, doesn't really matter who we bring, it will be just talent wasted on stupid tactics and the most passive & boring style a UCL contender can have...
So..looking forward to another shit season, topped by another UCL humilation in spring 2019.
Just like the idiots claiming he's a nobody most likely haven't seen him at all. See, it goes both ways.
