 And that´s supposed to make it seem less embarrassing? If a club spends over 150m on players in a transfer window and not a single one is fit enough to even sit on the bench or registered in LATE AUGUST, then that´s shocking.

Besides, it´s not like this is the first season you spend big, ManU spent like 60m+ every year for the last 3 or 4 seasons. And yet you can´t beat the mighty MK Dons...

I know these league comparisons are stupid and cancerous but I just can´t imagine a Bundesliga club having 150m to play with and then getting fucked up 4-0 by a 3rd divison side. Some of these PL clubs really need to think about their spending...

Let's get one thing clear...This defeat is as humiliating as it can get so there's no point in discussing it...but I don't see how anyone can be blamed for injuries to the 2 of the 4 new signings.....I know Di Maria and Rojo were signed late but that's how these things work....and today's team included 5-6 reserve team players and other's were fringe first team players so, I'm not sure that Di Maria would've featured today even if he was singed a month ago....and what are United supposed to do with all the money earned from the deals like adidas and Chevrolet? Not spending the money you have and letting the team go into decline would be really stupid because the money will start to dry up after a few years of under performance.....Bayern can afford to not spend much because they can pluck German players for cheap whereas there is intense competition for both players and places in the premier league...I'm absolutely certain that we'd finish in top 4 of the Bundesliga but as things stand we'll struggle to get into top 6 of PL so, I can't understand how people can slate us for spending the money that club brings in as revenue....

My mate in MK got tickets for me, so I drove all the way to MK to watch the game with the home fans expecting a easy win and thinking I could blend in as a annoyed Mk supporter as we win:lol:. Everybody around me was so happy after the 3rd one went in I was bloody depressed couldn't believe my eyes at the defending. The away support was amazing some fans left after 4-0 but the majority of the fans stayed till the end and sang their hearts out. Surprised me as I rarely go to away games and just mostly go to home games. Never going to sit with the home fans at an away game again though.

Football is not like Fifa, in fifa the central midfield can be skipped entirely. But this is football, you wont get anywhere with the likes of Anderson, Cleverley and Fletcher in central midfield.

Exactly and today after going 1-0 down Van Gaal subbed in Wilson for Powell leaving Anderson as our only midfielder....I just hope this leads to us signing Vidal or even De Jong....

Probably not. You're really underestimating the Bundesliga. While Bayern are really good, that doesn't mean the rest of the league is shit.

BVB, Schalke and Leverkusen are all too inconsitent. Gladbach, Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg are just not there yet. United would be third or 4th, I guess.

People on here are mocking United after tonight and rightly so, it was shocking. A couple of things to point out though in relation to things mentioned.

-The team tonight was full of kids. Some of those kids who don't even look good enough when playing for our u21's. It's not that we couldn't have fielded a better team, it's that, as always with the Carling cup, we chose not to. Majority of the senior players we did play shouldn't be at the club. Hernandez and Anderson in particular.

-Our 'first team' hasn't played yet this season. We've had almost a full team out injured or not fit. It will surely be much better when we have a consistent first choice team available. How can it not be when our new players are available and our best existing players are fit. Di Maria in for Young, RVP in for Hernandez, Shaw in for James, Herrera for Fletcher, Rojo for Evans, etc etc.

Laugh away, I don't blame you...but at least have a small idea about what you are laughing at.

Oh, and we smashed Leverkusen twice last season, and aren't they the third best team in the Bundesliga? On top of that we have added at least four superior players to what we had then. Yet we wouldn't finish top four in that league?

It's just bizarro what Fergie leaving has caused in Manchester. You would of made a pretty penny if you bet on MK to smash united by 3 goals or more.

LVG will get his team playing right but they can't fold out of the FA Cup as quickly as they did with the League Cup.
