Di Maria BY FAR their best player.

yup Di Maria is looking good and has created 2 really good chances for RVP and Mata but they missed/mucked them up. The big problem with our attack is not having natural fullbacks fit to provide width to drag the fullbacks out and make space for RVP and rooney and also fletch being dreadful and not doing anything

Di Maria looks like he's worth 60 million...He basically forced others to play one touch football at one time and his pass to RVP was top class.....I'm beginning to think that it's formation rather than the players because majority of our possession was our defenders looking confused with the ball at their feet.....and is Blind any better than fletcher? I don't think he is and he'll probably be just as average in this formation........

Let's hope so but I'm not convinced by Blind at all.....He's basically another average addition to our midfield and is the most uninspiring signing of the summer....I would've been happy with either Blind or Shaw but getting Blind as the solution to our midfield is pretty underwhelming.........

Blind has been chosen 2013 player of the year in Eredivise AFAIK... I'm not sure about his consistency but he is quality.

He's good, got a decent touch and dribbling
He is pretty good on the ball, started last season as a left back, but was moved to midfield, in a role similar to busquets'. His move to midfield was compared to pep moving lahm to midfield by Dutch football critics. I hope I've informed you a bit

you are terribly wrong. His prime position is still a defensive midfielder where he can boss the play, Van Gaal put him on the wing to give him more time to think with the ball.

Thanks for the info.....So is the midfield duo of Herrara and Blind good enough to challenge for the top 4 assuming that we sort out our defensive issues....I was absolutely delighted with Di Maria's performance today and if our midfield is able to take the ball from the defenders and release the attacking players more quickly(basically what midfield should do) than we should be fine..
