Why do this lot keep talking about 'getting back to the top where we belong'?

How delusional are they? Other than two periods (Ferguson and Busby) they've been irrelevant for most of their existence. They have no divine right to win trophies.

Other than that, INEOS are absolutely clueless (as I said at the start when the delusional clowns were talking them up just because they aren't the Glazers), the Glazers are a joke, they have a thoroughly mediocre squad, they overrate so many of their players.

The delusion runs right through this club, with Berrada claiming their plan is to win the PL by 2028. What drugs is he on? 2028 will come and go with them winning absolutely fuck all. How many false dawns and turned corners have they had?

They are fucked with PSR and their squad sucks. They cannot play good football, stuck playing rudimentary low block counter-attack garbage. Amorim looks like he is being found out and will likely be sacked in the next 18 months, meaning they have to start all over again. Rinse and repeat.

I said Ten Hag would be sacked by 2025 when everyone was wanking over him in summer 2023. I was proved right so they should definitely heed my opinion.

There are too many better teams than them in England, and they don't have the vast financial advantage Ferguson enjoyed (they love to pretend other teams outspent them but they were consistently among the biggest spenders). They cannot go out and buy their rivals' best players now. They cannot spend a fortune on guys like Ferdinand, Veron, Rooney (check how much they cost back then, adjusted for inflation).

They are a clown of a club and need to accept this is their new normal. It will be a very long time before they win the CL or PL again. A Liverpool or Arsenal period of time most likely, or even longer.

My theory is that most of their fans are glory hunters who cannot accept they are a perennial non-challenger. So they have to pretend that - while they are rubbish now - they still have aspirations and hope. Because the alternative terrifies them. But that alternative is the reality.

I have correctly predicted their struggles for many years, while they have been incorrect every step of the way. So it is highly likely I will continue being right and they will continue being clueless morons with zero eye for a player.

I'd love someone to post this on Redcafe - Temptation? I think Bluemoon and RAWK would like this too (if the latter wasn't locked down).

Manu had the worst development you could imagine, since the 13/14 they were never even close to win a big title again. When you see their squad now, you can only cry and that after spending so much money. Amorim should have stayed at Sporting. Stupid dude.

They could've been close to top four with a proper coach and healthy squad who probably only got injured from Amorim's run like pigs tactics and training.

They don't have the squad quality to be anywhere near the top four, as has been proved the last two seasons - there's loads of better squads in the league. Their attacking options are horrendous.

They were rubbish even when they had few injuries.

Stop talking bollocks and pushing this myth. It's delusional and only makes their situation worse to lie to them.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “If you look at the players we are buying this summer, that we didn't buy… we're buying Antony, Casemiro, Onana, Hojlund, Sancho. These are all things from the past, we've inherited those things and have to sort that out”

Lol, practically admitting those players are pish.

He can talk though as they have made some very underwhelming signings under INEOS too. The cunt is clearly deluded enough to think Mazraoui, Ugarte, Zirzkee and De Ligt are a step up from those and more than good enough. Just his clueless arrogance.

Not that I think he's wrong about players being shit but admitting that publicily might not be the best option lol

Mess of a club. AC Milan and Man United are two examples that all clubs should look towards and do everything to avoid it. Although to be honest Milan fans are at least a little more humble and understand how they fell off. And they also have better player quality and even had a good time under Pioli.

Milan are a little different in that it was more the decline of Serie A as a whole, and being superseded by the PL and La Liga in popularity, that done them in. The same has happened to the likes of Inter and Juve - still big clubs and good sides, but no longer among the top 2-3 teams in the world.

United have zero excuse. They play in the very rich PL and have all the advantages ever needed in terms of finances, popularity, glory hunters, referees. They're just a fucking clown club who are clueless and make awful mistakes.

Putting Milan in the same bucket is harsh on Milan.

I always confuse Radcliffe with James Dyson, and everytime I see their poor signings think "well atleast he invented the vacuum".

And then I realize that wasn't even him and how this is the guy who was deluded enough to think he had the magic bullet to takeover Barcelona.

PS: Not even a fookin' vacuum could clean up United's mess.

Well, Inter are back at the top now under Inzaghi, which merely symbolises the EPL's false superiority. So much money but little strategy, little patience, little knowledge of football. It is spurred on by the fans as much as the management ; in England, fans want instant results, and they are extremely reactionary. EPL teams will replace players after one bad season, and many of those have gone on to reinvent themselves elsewhere (a 35 year old Darmian still has a squad role at Inter...)

When Inzaghi took over Inter they were practically bankrupt, sold most of their key players and had an old skeleton of a team. Since then they have spent very little and the return has been 2 Supercoppas, a CL final, a Scudetto and likely a repeat Scudetto this season.

A player like Marcus Thuram, who is doing brilliantly there, was a free signing. Contrast that with United spending 60m on Hojlund... that is hilarious. The gap between them is tremendous. Or 80m on Antony.

EPL have a ton of money and don't know what to do with it seemingly. With the downfall of City it would be hard to call them the best league, at this point EPL-LaLiga-Serie A are of similar levels give or take, with Serie A a bit below the other two.

Every time I see Ratcliffe talk the guy comes across as a thick deluded fucker with absolutely zero charisma.

Fucking delighted he's leading them now.

True, but the point is that - in recent years - Liverpool and City have been the two best teams in the world (alongside Real Madrid unfortunately) and Serie A teams have struggled other than that one season Inter got to the CL FInal. And Juve, Milan and Atalanta were all just eliminated from the CL.

I am far from a premface - I used to argue relentlessly on Yahoo Answers that La Liga was far better. But in recent years it has become the best league and I do think teams like Milan and Juve are not serious contenders for the CL. Inter moreso but I think they'll be eliminated soon enough, despite their insane defensive record there.

I honestly think teams like Bournemouth and Brighton could beat Juve and Milan.

What I am saying is that if Milan had the advantage of playing in La Liga or especially the Premier League, with the financial and popularity advantages those league confer, I don't think they'd have declined so rapidly. I think they could be as good as City and Liverpool, or at least Arsenal or Newcastle.

Whereas United are an absolute fucking basket case. Harsh to group Milan with those cunts.
