I think their backline is okay and I think Bruno and Diallo are great players. Mazraoui and De Ligt are decent too.

But its not a top6 team for sure. Garnacho I think has a lot to improve on and was overhyped far too soon. Seems like he is invisible most of the time sans popping up with a great goal once in a while.
Bruno isn't a great player. He suits them but he's a moments player who makes them have to play chaos, hero ball to suit them. They think he'd get even better stats in a better team but it's the opposite - at a better team everything wouldn't go through him and he wouldn't be able to pad his stats.

Diallo has a lot of talent, but he's done very little in his career to prove he is a 'great player'. He still has a lot to prove.

Mazraoui is okay but will never move the needle at all. De Ligt is average and will always make mistakes.

We just have to accept that we have completely different opinions on the quality of their players. But given that they are where they are, and I was proved very right in the summer when Jammy was telling me they'd finish top 4, I'd suggest my opinion is much closer to reality than yours.

You can deny it all you like, but if they had several good players they wouldn't be 14th. It's not the board's fault, or the fans', or the tea lady's that their players are useless on the park.

Hojlund wasn't even the best striker in Atalanta at the time United bought him. Far from it actually. Gasperini was probably in shock when saw the offer.

I find it strange how they can fall for it so easily. It's 21st century, information age. You hear people don't rate him and they laugh at the money you offer, yet you still go for it.

And it's really not just with Hojlund. In Ajax they couldn't believe 100 milion was being offered for Antony. We ourselves were laughing at the money for De Jong. Real Madrid for Casemiro and Varane, etc etc... In this sense they've become the ultimate laughing stock in transfer bussines of Europe.

I called that Hojlund from day one. Ask anyone who knows me in real life. Said he was utter bollocks and have been proved so so right. Their fans deluded themselves for so long, claiming 'he's young', 'look where Kane and Drogba were aged 20'. Absolute fucking desperation.

I watched Serie A frequently that season. He seemed like a really incredibly raw striker but scoring some scrappy goals out of pace and hustle. He wasn't a clear starter. He received some hype after a brace against Spezia.

His only redeeming quality is speed but sometimes when you see him on the pitch its like he doesn't know how to play football. Some very very basic stuff he does wrong, he looks like he picked up the sport a couple years ago.

Gets tired very easily as well, always huffing and puffing after every sprint. Weak player and loses a lot of duels.

Statistically absolutely awful. If you look at his fbref (and thats including his stat padding vs farmers in EL) it is absolutely shocking.

This graph is to say, not only is he bad, he's literally nothing. Like, he has no impact.

Even when he's clean through on goal or has a very good pass played to him he manages to get out of the way, miscontrol it, or take a bad touch, like vs Arsenal where he was clean through and took an extra touch that meant Gabriel took it off him.

I don't want to be overly critical, its not as if he's reading this anyway, but I feel bad for him, he's at a level he clearly shouldn't be playing at and it's visibly upsetting him after games.
