It was a credible performance by United. I'm proud. We could have easily witnessed a massacre had we not risen to the occasion with a weakened and deflated team.

No van Persie, Evans, Rafael or Evra. Büttner held his own, which I was worried about. Robben was their best player but he was limited to extravagant shots. He did miss one good chance though.

Welebeck was fucking great. His goal should have stood. And the chip wasn't so bad, it was made look easy by a top goalkeeper in Neuer. He's like a 12th man with his quickness off the line and bravery when distributing.

Fellaini is garbage, however.

A shame we couldn't have taken a 1-0 over there. I hope we attack in the away leg. We need 2 away goals. A 2-2 draw over there is unlikely but our form in Europe (bar one game) says it's not impossible if they buckle under the pressure and hype.
