Marc Bartra

Not ready for the first 11, imo.

The whole defense was shit, but his insecurity did not help any.

Don't judge him only by this game. It was his first in months. There have been plenty this season where he showed that he can make it.

I must have missed the games where he played then. However, against a team that low in the league I'd like a more assured performance by him.

Looked a bit shaky but also showed great class at times, difficult to judge him on this game IMO. He and Piqué didn't seem to understand each other at all.

Agree, He doesn't partner up well with pique, He was better with mascherano, However weird that sounds

He's just not ready. I can understand what lack of playing time does to a player but there were instances where he displayed signs he's not cut from the right cloth. Using arms when tackling or being out-muscled by Park? Come on..
And it's not like he faced some tough competition. These Celta players will likely play with Barca B in Segunda next season.

Not a very good game from Bartra, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as he only played less than 80 minutes this season up until today's game. Many of our great players weren't very good at Bartra's age. Let's give him some more time when the league is wrapped up and see how he develops then.

Sad to see he wasn't very good. I hope he's loaned next season, to have the opportunity to really improve. I still hope he doesn't turn up another Fontas.

He's far from being another Fontas. You can see him having some good moments, but having his first league minutes in 2013 at the end of March didn't help him.
Celta's 1st goal came from a missed pass by him but he had some good tackles and interceptions later.

This is a very important observation. If he managed to calm down and improve within the course of a single game, this means that playing for the first time in months was a huge factor contributing to his insecurity. And if this is so, we can only imagine how he would develop further if he was given more playing time. He's young and inexperienced. We need to see how he improves with regular minutes.

Who?Bartra is 22 .he isn't that young ,The only players who I remember wasn't as better than him at that and had a good career with us are Oleguer and Pedro ,most of the other players was better at his age ,I mean it happens but that isn't normally the case
I think he is good and will improve ,but I am not betting on him being our future starter in such a tough position to play ,probably will be a solid back up

He isn't next another IMO ,Fontas is too slow and that is something that will never be tolerated for a CB in a team with attacking mentality like FCB ,having an injury didn't help his case either
that said I agree he should get loaned ,kid has potential but needs playing time and he isn't yet good enough to get it with the team ,there was rumors that we indeed want to loan him, would be a smart move
btw how is Fontas doing in Mallorca?

Of course loaning him is gonna do much for the kid. He can prove himself in a midtable liga team like Rayo or Sevilla. We must not let him go and just be loaned once. 2014/2015 is the season where Bartra can be a regular starter for FCB if he keeps improving and getting play minutes and proper experience.

And Fontas is doing horribly at Mallorca. And if he ever get some minutes, he plays at DM.

Piqué and Bartra are pretty similar, and none of them are leaders on the pitch. They're relatively light weight technically good central defenders. It was obvious that they didn't really know who'd do what on the pitch.

Bartra is superb technically, and he had several great passes out to Tello, but he should bulk up a bit as he's pretty weak, something that (along with not having played much) really showed up when Park ate him up.
