Marc Bartra

What we fans have been saying all season has come true- That not playing Bartra regularly could be disastrous. I blame Tito/Roura for this. Seems like we fans would do a better job of man management. Now Bartra will have a trial by fire. Hope it doesnt shatter his confidence if he does badly. How can we hope to win the CL with such a shambolic defence.

Not sure if serious..

So you think Tito was right in not playing Bartra? I said "It seems" not that im more qualified than Tito. But its clear as day that Tito's stubbornness in not playing Bartra for whatever reason might end up costing the team.
This superior attitude where anybody criticizing Tito is not taken seriously doesnt do this forum or you any favours

You can't really blame Bartra for that. Blame the coaching staff for not playing him more this season.

A good player plays good whenever the team needs him. It is not an excuse that he haven't play in many games. He is 22 years old, not a kid anymore...

I don't trust this fella for the second leg, he failed to impress against Celta and today, but what other option we have? Either Busquets or Adriano, but we need Busi in midfield and Adriano is not fit.

To be honest our CB situation worries me more than not having Messi available or is it just me?

I doubt even Messi would be at his 100% after playing as much as Bartra. He's 22 but how much experience he has in big games? By your logic a 27 year old from 2nd division would be expected to be better than him since he's "older"

Maybe Barta isn't all that great? Maybe the management who see him every day aren't fully convinced by him where as you have watched him how many times? If Barta plays and doesn't do well it isn't Tito's fault for not playing him, it's because he isn't good enough.

No. Did I say that?
Questioning someone who says fans would do a better job than the actual manager, yes that's the thing I did.

There's a difference between criticizing Tito and the management and saying the fans could do a better job. Get real.

If you remember before the start of the season Tito said that the progress of Bartra was one of the reasons he didnt buy a CB. So there goes your theory

Not only did Tito not play Bartra in virtually any games this season (although there were plenty less important games and plenty comfortable leads when he could have used minutes without endangering the result), he also told the club that they don't need to buy a CB.

All I am saying is that there are reasons that a 22 year old player, plays rarely and of course there are reasons that a 27 year old guy plays in the second division. Messi was excellent from his first game. Varane made a name for himself by playing after a series of injuries(he is also 3 years younger). So if he is good enough to play in Barca he has a golden chance to prove it.

Was Messi benched all season and then asked to play against a big team out of the blue due to an injury to others?

Now we're counting on Bartra who didn't play anymatch ( ok 3 or 4) during this season to be our titular defender with Pique against teams like PSG or if we go through, Bayern Munich, Madrid or Dortmund ? Congratulations to Tito not to make him play and to Zubi because he didn't buy a CB during last season, instead of Song. FUCK

Let's just wait and see how he does against Mallorca. PSG is on anothet level of course, but it could give us some indication. My biggest worry about playing him is how horribly he gets along with Piqué in defense.
