I'm not completely sure how this works, but considering that his current 8M buyout is out of the ordinary compared to his default one, I doubt we could negotiate a buyback clause anywhere near that number.

I think its safe to say he isn't the next Thiago Silva but I think a buyback is smart in case he improves to the point where he can be a solid 3rd choice CB in 2-3 years. Give him a full season as a starter and see how he will improve.

tnh I can't see Bartra value getting up.there is a very good possibility he will be exposed and we won't be even able to get those 8M for him
Loans can be good for an U-23 prospect .not for a mid twenties player

Or he can find himself on the bench and rot there until it's time to come back because he's not immediately good enough to bench any of the current players and isn't worth the effort of developing when he won't be there longer than one season.
