Playing at a team as physical and neanderthalic as Stoke under a coach as stupid as Hughes and he still believes he'll return to Barca one day? Not only polar opposites in style but I'm 75% sure he probably won't improve.

Well there goes a player who was once titled "the next Puyol"

its such a strange move, probably the worst possible club muniesa could of chosen to move to, cannot understand the thinking behind it at all, and hughes is a shit manager, how he keeps getting jobs in the premier league is a mystery, muniesa should of gone to another spanish club, he's quite small for a centre back, i think he'll struggle with the physicality of the premier league, he'll start a few matches at the beginning and get dominated physically, after that he'll disappear to the bench/reserves and 2 years later he'll pop up again at a mid table spanish club, thats my prediction anyway...

he went to premier league so he can be more physical.if he can make it in the premier league he would have become what we need a no-nonsense defender, fast, good in air cause that what the premier league would have moulded him into. La masia is producing more pique mould cb so it will be better we start loaning them to the premier league where they can toughen up and become puyol like.look at those ones that we have loan or sold to laliga like fontas and botia they have not developed into what we want and if they gone to epl they may have be better

Yeah, as a CB, not sure how imposing a figure he'll draw in the Premiership...especially at Stoke who have traditionally been known for their physical if not rough play...Not exactly Muniesa

I don't feel that's the problem really. He'll have a physical CB/team next to him. I'd expect Muniesa to be the ball player and distribute the long ball that would likely to be played often, but Hughes may change that tactic. I think he'll be alright with the physicality, he's got the anticipation and football brain to be able to deal with the big boys. Pace may be a problem though with his injury history.

The problem for me is, why Stoke? If he had to choose EPL, then surely Swansea, Wigan or Everton could have used him..? And the news just came out of the blue, as if he accepted the offer straight away. If feel he should have waited a week or so to find a better suited club.

i think his lack of height will be a problem when it comes to dealing with crosses and set pieces, he'll be up against big physical strikers like lukaku, carroll, benteke, teams will target muniesa for physical treatment just like they did with de gea in his first season, and de gea is a much bigger lad then muniesa, if stoke are losing points because of muniesa he'll be dropped, stoke will be battling relegation next season so they'll need every point they can get, i don't think they'll stay patient with muniesa for very long if he's struggling...

What does a CB has to do with playing style anyway!? It is actually not a bad move on his paert, he cuold increase the physical aspect of his game. The ball-playing aspect must already be in his armor anyway

Why Stoke of all clubs? Should have taken a pay cut and gone to Sociedad.
He wont return to Barca by playing in that joke of a team

because spanish clubs dont have any money and there is a limit to the amount of players english clubs can take on board. stoke was probably the only club that offered him a contract. if not stoke, he would have been looking at a 90% pay cut at a spanish club.
