He wasn't worse than Bartra persay. Just incredibly unlucky with injuries. For a while, he was touted to be the certain heir to Puyol's throne. I mean just look at that hair, he even looks like a mini-Puyol.

Yeah,since he was 15 or even younger he was supposed to be the best defender coming out of La Masia since Puyol ,sadly he was injured most of the time since then

Barca (this current board, at least) has never had a good way to treat young defenders (or defenders in general).
Couldn't believe it when I heard they sold him, and to Stokes non the less (?).
Puyol was also injured a lot, that didn't stop him.

He has started 6 games for Stoke in the league this season. Not exactly a great spell for him.

He is better than all of their CB's tbf and he can also play as LB. Stoke was definitely the wrong team for him, no idea why he didn't join Sociedad when he had the chance

Stoke offered him more money. As someone who struggled with injuries he probably considers financial security as important.
