People keep laughing at his comment. You are all missing the point here. There are two sides to a coin, a glass is either half full or half empty. Stoke might actually make him one of the best defenders out there. Barca philosophy (roots) + Stoke strict defending policy + Weight gain (ideal EPL CB size) + regular play time ≈ Great CB. Wish him luck and hope he returns one day.

he lacks both pace and height. its a problem. those players tend to play DM though, so maybe thats where he will be utilized.

Shawcross is a mountain which Muni is not. Their defensive system is based on overpowering their opponent physically which Muni cant do

Shawcross is a reckless and physical turd. Whatever intimidation and strength he has defensively is helped by his massive size and lack of a brain. Muniesa would never develop into a better or smarter defender at Stoke.

I know that we're all hyped up about Deulo's performance yesterday, but I think Muni did well yesterday. Much better than the rest of the defense, save for Begovic.
