Apparently, Perisic is a big fan of Inter since he played there and is angry because Inter is selling Brozovic.

On Brozovic's Instagram photo in Inter's jersey, Perisic commented: "Fucking Z"

Apparently he is angry on Inter's owner Zhang and his financial decisions and because Inter will be way weaker without Brozovic.

He isn't alone in that, whole Inter fanbase are like that.
And Brozovic is just part of it, Inter is selling Onana for 50M

Well, honestly, Barca and me parted ways in the last few years.

No superstars, no modern football, just some washed up, slow version of Spanish football, which is not my cup of tea.

Players wise, this is the most boring Barca since the 80s, zero superstars, zero players to whom you can relate, zero idols/leaders/posterboys.

When I was a kid, I loved Romario, Koeman, Stoichkov, R9, Rivaldo, Figo, Kluivert, later Ronaldinho, Etoo, Xavi, Puyol, Messi etc.

Today the best and the most likeable players are Pedri and Frenkie who are, personality wise, boring as fuck.
And football wise: miles below aforementioned guys.
Barca fans in the 90s had posters of R9 and Rivaldo.
Barca fans in 2023 have posters of Pedri. I don't mean anything bad, but you get the point how low have we fell quality and "show/celebrity" wise.

Regarding Brozo, he is not a superstar, but at least since he is from my country, Barca will be slightly more interesting to watch (for me) than last 2 seasons where my passion for Barca was at the lowest point ever.

But anyway, longterm, if Barca wants to go back to glory paths, we'll need to buy some superstars and more exciting players for masses/average fans.
Outside of Barca's fans, literally no one cares for Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie etc.
In my country, 10-15 years ago, there were tons of kids walking around with jerseys of mostly Messi.
I haven't seen a kid in my country in the last few years with any other name than Messi's (regarding Barca's shirts).
So, for kids, here Barca is dead. Kids aged 8 or 12 don't watch football for Pedri or Gavi.
They know only Messi, Cr7, Haaland, Mbappe, Modric (since he is from our country).
In 5 years, these kids will be aged 17 and Barca will be totally irrelevant for them, like Seria A clubs for majority of us since they aren't winning any CL trophies and they have zero superstars.

Casual fans love superficial things: WC, CL trophies and fancy names.
Only hardcore fans care about Fede Valverde and Pedri.

Dumb fuck chose Saudi Arabi. He basically retired at the age of 30. Considering his history he will probably loose all that money on gambling and drinking. This is also a very bad news for Croatian NT as this guy will be a shadow of himself next season.

Not disagreeing with your post overall, but this part take it too far.
You read other forums and social media and Pedri is very highly rated and thought for by non Barca fans, you look at wish list of top clubs and Frenkie is there for most of them.
They aren't poster boy, that is for sure, Pedri might have a chance as an Iniesta or KDB type of star but that will need some marketing and development, which may very well never happen.
Lewandowski is currently that guy, although that is underwhelming one.

With that being said, and expanding the discussion a bit, how many players under the age of 30 are poster boys whom young generation droll about?

Truth to be told, the 80's born generation has dominated the sport in unprecedented way. Messi and CR7 obviously but even at later stage the likes of Modric, Benzema, Lewandowski took the torch at times instead of passing it to younger generations. The generations of players born in early 90's for example is most likely to end up with zero balon dor.

Right now, it is the remains of the old guard, along Halaand and Mpabbe with Vinicius being distant third. After those I fail to see whom else?

It is sort of a generation issue ( as side effect of tactical advances) rather than a Barca issue.

More of a case that football is not so interesting anymore as a hobby/recreational activity for kids. Even though the money is obscene in football right now, the quality has gone down. Tactics also played a part with lots of negative coaches emphasizing running over technical skills.

Fans definitely care pedri outside of Barcelona, if he stays if he'll be a midfield super star and it's not easy being a star as a midfielder.

Gavi gets noticed because of his attitude & physicality, but he's not close to pedri in non Barca circles

FDJ no one cares about, he's 26 and most fans outside Barcelona still think of his as a "talent" doesn't really move the needle for most.

But pedri is a star, best shot at a start we have on. The team currently.

Fake news.

The fans of a lot of top clubs are talking about FDJ and wanting him there.

Gavi... largely mocked by opposition fans as massively over rated for what has shown so far.

Go look online or on forums for who the most discusses Barca player wanted by the bigger clubs and it is FDJ.

Do better.

Pedri should be the star name and very rarely will ever get a more DM type midfielder being that regardless.

FDJ was Barcas best mid by long way last season and the one the team struggled to do without. They could beat Real etc x2 without Pedri.. then FDJ goes out and its the worst home defeat in 15 odd years to them.

Pedri is not far behind FDJ and could over take him soon enough but not yet... Gavi is fucking miles off both of them.

No one talks about De jong anywhere horse poop as per usual.

Pedri is the star, when it should be the 26 year old "talent" de jong.

Fake news.

Fans of the biggest teams want him.. see City/Bayern etc and many more.

'Star man'... FDJ better to this point and last season showed it.

Extended lead in league with Pedri injured... FDJ gets injured for few games and drop points to Girona/Getafe and suffer worst home defeat to Real in 15 years.

FDJ best mid on park last 3 times he played Real and beat them twice with Pedri injured.. Pedri not been better than FDJ v Real in any game they played together to date.

FDJ also had far better WC than Pedri last season as a wee extra.

Say all that as someone who loves Pedri and thinks he can be Barcas best player soon... last season... not close. FDJ was ahead clearly and more important.

Pedri injured...

Beat Real 1-0 away in Cup... FDJ best player on park.
Beat Real 2-1 at home to more or less seal league... FDJ best player on park.

Couple weeks later...FDJ misses Real game injured.

Barca lose 4-0 at home to Real and worst home defeat in 15 years to them.

All just a strange coincidence....

Facts.
