Apparently Inter like Calhanoglu playing deeper since Brozovic was out and they think that they lack physicality in the team.

So they may be prepared to go for the physicality of proven Kessie in that league and give deeper role to Calhanoglu while getting rid of Brozovic at 30 and a big contract.

That was the logic of Bergomi I think it was for why move may be considered.

If we get him & Renew busquets, which we shouldn't but it's more complicated than that.

That would be our DM position solved for the short term, 2 years max, can't see the club going for another in the summer.

could then spend what limited money & salary space we figure out on a RB, LW and striker, in a perfect world we would get someone like thuram who can play both & for free, but we can't be that lucky, then we move priorities to another Midfielder.

LW is not as desperate if Xavi fancies the four midfielders longer term and sees that as Gavis best position for now.

Will still need to have a more wide option there and likes of Thuram for free or even Zaha for free to allow Torres/Raphinha to maybe go and even Fati on loan if doesnt pick up.

Thuram to help cover Lewa as well surely has to be attempted but would think EPL teams will throw money at him in Jan and his club.

if Fati does then Gavi/Fati/Torre may be the LW cover.

If that is case then need a fitter LB than Alba or Alonso to pair with Balde or whole thing would not be the same when he is injured/rested.

True, or system is done with Dembele, Balde or Lewa injured. We don't have this profile in club if they are injured.

He picked an injury in the first international break where we also lost all of our worthy defenders, played world cup half injured and now is yet to be fit. Dont know if he's injury prone, he missed 39 games due injury since he joined inter in 2015, he played in 273 games for them as per transfermarkt. For example, Dembele joined barca 2 years after and has 102 games missed through injury and 175 apps.
Truth to be told, brozovic this season was out in 13 games for inter, so you might be right that he became injury prone

Di Marzio reporting that Inter are ready to accept this but we'll have to convince Kessie.

I watch a lot of Serie A and am shocked how big of a profile Kessie seems to have in Italy. Brozovic, really!?!

He was good for Milan last season sure but more as a solid player with a simple role, not a coveted supertalent - but Inter are ready to trade us Brozovic who is one of the highest rated mids in the world and could be a surefire solution to the DM spot. Weird how highly he is rated there.

Don't know about Inter's plan but their fans are raging online and going crazy at the suggestion of them moving on from Brozovic for Kessie.

Be interesting to see if this does go through whether there are prices put on both players to inflate the books or a 'free' swap.

I understand his best season was actually 2020-2021, not last season though
